Hey everyone!
Long time, no Facebook and all that jazz!
So you may (or may not 🫣) have realised that I’ve been very quiet over the last year.

The long and short of it is that I’ve hung my lenses up.

As much as I utterly adore spending your special days with you capturing all of those lovely memories, it’s actually a huge amount of work and time to sort through, edit and deliver back images that I’m truly happy with and trying to make that work whilst also having a full time day job makes for hard work!
I’ve also become far busier with my singing so I made the decision at the beginning of last year to fully step back from photography.

I photographed my final wedding this summer and it was a lovely old school friend of mine, so a perfect way to wrap up this chapter of my life ☺️

I wanted to share this with you guys as firstly I wanted to say a massive thank you to all of the wonderful couples who have given me the privilege of stalking you on your big day 😂 and secondly because I still get a lot of enquiries, and also a lot of you lovely lot always tag me when there are requests for photographers 🥰

I say it’s “The End….kind of” as I still have all my cameras and like I’ve done since I was a child, I will always take far too many photos of day to day life, so if anyone needs be desperately I can try and jump in, but for now,
that’s all folks!

What an amazing way to start a Sunday!
I was super humbled and honoured to be asked by the Royal Devon Hospitals Charity to photograph their first ever Topless Swim event at Tunnels Beaches!
250 women of all ages came together to raise over £42,000 (and rising) by getting their b***s out on a November morning and going for a swim!
It was emotional, empowering and really uplifting to see real girl power in action and also to see women sharing their own experiences and supporting each other.
My own mum had breast cancer at the age of 33, resulting in a mastectomy so to see survivors getting their scars out and wearing them as a badge of pride was amazing!
Huge congratulations to all of you who took part today 💞

I had the most lovely day yesterday at The Barnstaple Hotel for Sam & Ben’s wedding (or should that be Sam’s wedding featuring Ben? 😉).

They were super lucky with the weather and it was the least they deserved as I have to say it was one of the most thoughtful weddings I’ve had the pleasure to capture. Sam and Ben were determined to make sure it was a wonderful day for their guests and they had some really lovely touches to their day, such as a minutes silence for Armistice Day before the ceremony, another silence before the speeches for family who have passed plus instead of throwing her bouquet, Sam handed out a white rose to every lady who attended (including me, which I loved)!
The highlight of the day though was the perfect comedic timing of their 10month old daughter who brilliantly decided to shout out when the registrar asked if anyone knows not if any lawful
reason why Ben & Sam should not be joined in matrimony 😂

I can’t wait to get their photos edited and back to them now 💗

I had the best afternoon with the gorgeous ladies at Charlie Friday's Coffee Shop, Lynton a few weeks back, shooting their charity naked calendar!
The cocktails and snacks flowed and they were absolute superstars to work with!
They now have a gorgeous calendar which will be raising funds for the incredible North Devon Against Domestic Abuse - NDADA 💗

Last year I decided that for 2023 I would only take on a couple of weddings after a crazy post-Covid 21/22 season.
In my head i'd already booked in this years weddings, but then 6 weeks ago I got a message out of the blue from Amy who was planning her wedding to her lovely other half Jamie and had given herself only a few weeks to organise it! I instantly knew that we'd get on and there was no way I was turning them down, and yesterday we had the best day ever celebrating! It also happened to be on their 10th anniversary so a double celebration!
Despite the forecast we had fantastic weather and it was a real delight spending the day with them, their friends and family, especially their gorgeous little boy. Huge congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Palfreyman!

I’m always nervous when I hand back a couples wedding photos.
I know they’ve seen my work before they book so know my style and I do have faith that what I’m doing is something that the couple will love, but there’s always that niggling voice in the back of your head that says “but what if they don’t like them”, so I always feel like I’m holding my breath until I hear back from the couple with their feedback, so I was delighted to get this message back from my most recent bride - it’s made my week 😊

A few weeks ago, I was extremely honoured to be asked to take the promotional images for Calendar Girls The Musical that is at The Landmark Theatre this week.
This gorgeous bunch of ladies trusted me enough to get their kit off in front of me and allow me to photograph their beautiful bods.
It was a really beautiful thing to see the initial nerves disappear and them fully embrace their bodies and actually start to enjoy the shoot.

Now it’s one thing to do this in a private space , but these amazing bunch will be getting starkers on stage!
It’s all for an amazing cause though, as they’ll share the wonderfully funny but touching story of the original calendar girls and they’ll be doing post-show collections for Over and Above Hospital Charity and ChemoHero, so take some coins for these amazing local causes!

I spent a brilliant evening with the very brave cast of Calendar Girls recreating those famous WI Calendar photos and a few new additions for publicity!
They were all so brilliant to work with and it was so nice that they trusted me enough to stand in front of me totally starkers!
Not only are they brave, beautiful beings but they’re also marvellous performers so make sure you get your tickets whilst there are still some available!

Last Friday evening our brave and beautiful ladies took the plunge and bared all for our Calendar Girls publicity photos taken by the amazing Charmain Lovett Photography.

Here’s a photo of them feeling a little tentative before the ‘de-robing’!

Over the coming weeks we’ll be revealing more of them (nearly all of them to be precise) and you will see our performers in all their glory!.

A few weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the lovely Gemma & Dave's wedding back in the home-shire of Combe Martin!
I've known Gem for years and it has been so wonderful watching hers and Dave's relationship bloom over the last few years and it was such an honour that they asked me to capture special memories of their big day.
With both Gem and Dave being big into sports and fitness you'd usually see them in trackies and tshirts, but by jove do they scrub up well! A beautiful bride, a handsome groom, the sun shining and a whole lot of love in one place - what more could you ask for!
