There are so many reasons why families book a photo shoot, despite all the tech we own, professional photography is still so important to document milestones and life’s major events. Equally, I have families who come to the studio because they simply want to update photography for walls and family albums.
It’s a treat, how often in our busy lives do we get to slow down and spend some time with our loved ones and have the luxury of a professional photographer to capture and preserve all these special connections.
I wish I’d taken the time update photographs with my family as my boys were growing up. Don’t get me wrong, I have gigabyte upon gigabyte of pictures of the boys 😁 but how many have got me in? Just the odd one or two. I know I was there taking the pictures, I'm just not in the pictures.
Okay, I’m a bit camera shy and that’s probably why I preferred to stay on my side of the camera, but looking back, if I had the time again, I would have sought out a professional photographer that I could trust.
Mum’s and dads, it’s important that you exist in the photographs too, you are all part of the story!
