Friday’s wedding of Nicky Campbell & Richard Harrison was absolutely EPIC! 🥂✨
From the very best of real Scottish weather; wet, wild and ridiculously windy, to THE BEST dance floor I think I have ever experienced! And I’m pretty sure that having 200 farmers in a tent, unable to venture out into the wild all day, had something to do with it… so what else was there to do but drink?! 😂🍻
It was such a joy spending the morning with the gorgeous Campbell sisters and their family, and then there was Zara, the bride’s beautiful niece, who pretty much stole the show from the moment I arrived. 💕 She is just THE cutest! Smiled at me all day! ❤️
The ceremony was held at Manor Church with the lovely Malcolm, before we headed back to the field outside the family home where Nicky had got ready. This was transformed into the most stunning, beautifully personal marquee reception. It was so them and despite the wind occasionally making it sound like the whole thing might actually take off, it was the perfect setting for this brilliant, fun-loving bunch!
Nicky & Richard, thank you so much for choosing me to capture your wedding day. It was such an honour to be there and to photograph all the laughter, love, madness and moments in between.

Claus & Tanja love Scotland. They flew from Germany with their two best friends Sandra & Tom and loveable pup Amy to marry in Brora, you can’t get much more North than that! They married at the famous spot Carn Laith Broch overlooking the sea and Dunrobin Castle. They had the amazing Scottish Wedding Celebrant | Sam Conroy to marry them and piped in by Iain, which sent chills down you! We ventured for some photos at the castle and the beach afterwards. We sampled some Gin and had a real laugh! Thank you for choosing me, it was definitely worth the 10 hour round trip to a beautiful part of the world to meet a beautiful couple! ❤️ enjoy these sneak peeks

A Welsh dream. The most stunning couple, stunning day and stunning sunset. I first heard about Hannah & Joel from my Welsh friend and photographer Mark Cleghorn. He had captured Hannah’s parents wedding many years ago and he told them I was their woman! What a gorgeous celebration with so many songs (with amazing singers) and prayers in Church in Risca, followed by a reception at New Country House in Cardiff, which felt like we were in the South of France, gorgeous sunny vibes and views, music and champagne! I loved my day with these two and their amazing friends and family! Thank you for having me, it was such an honour!

I often get asked what my favourite EVER photo is. How can I say just one. I love every wedding, lots of photos from every wedding too as they are all unique and storytelling and make my couples so happy ❤️. That said I do have some personal favourites which I have shot over the years which have real meaning to me, whether photographically I have captured something I am proud of, or simply a moment that doesn’t need any words. Here are some of those…
1. Granny, wants to dance but watching is the next best thing. This one melts my heart. ❤️
2. Signing the register in the chapel and the light just hit right, a quick reposition to silhouette them.
3. When the gods line up….or the Geese in this case. The last shot of the day and my favourite! 🪿
4. When you have the courage to ask your bride if she would like to take a moment with her late mums personalised robe, and it paid off 😭
5. In the right place at the right time, sitting and waiting for the money shot.
6. Thinking outside the box and heading outside when the bride is inside. This one I like to call “head in the clouds”. ⛅️
7. The shot that took me 10 years to receive a fearless award but if you don’t keep trying you will never know! Makes me emotional every time I look at it.
8. Using a hole in the wall of the old barn to slip inside while they are outside and shoot through. Also proud of this one as it’s a photographer son’s wedding whom I wanted to impress 😉
9. I mean come on this one is class and I was super chuffed that the unfortunate ice cream dropped at that time! 🍦 🤣
10. Real moment that I waited for and composed well.
11. Shot with natural light and playing around with my levels in capture one. - love it as personal to the groom! 12. Walking outside the room to tell the story and frame it 🐶
13. The moments in between when I ask them to walk up to the top for a photo - I prefer it to the staged one!
14. My first composite - chuffed with my efforts!
15. I wanted this shot ever since I seen this window and those trees. I waited for the girls to arrive and boom!
16. Another moment completely unposed and they drank at the same time. Got to love a bit symmetry.

Presenting the Holloways! Yesterday was such an amazing celebration of the love of Jennifer & Taylor, two beautiful souls! We had a fun balloon morning with their favourite little people, Lewis, Eilidh & Faye…their adorable nieces and nephew, who stole the show! Tennant Horse and carriage to the venue then lots of horse moments throughout the day! A beautiful, fun ceremony and the best dance floor chaos! Photography is about so much more than beautiful light or perfect locations. It’s about preserving the moments you’ll never get back.
A wedding day is full of emotion, the nervous excitement before you see each other, the tears during the vows, the laughter and tears with your favourite people, the quiet moments when it all finally sinks in. Those are the moments I’m always looking for.
My job isn’t to interrupt them, it’s to be there, quietly documenting them as they unfold. To anticipate the hugs, the happy tears, the uncontrollable laughter, and the little glances that often say more than words ever could.
Years from now, these photographs won’t just remind you what your wedding looked like. They’ll remind you exactly how it felt. They’ll bring back the emotions, the people, and the memories that become even more precious with time.

Bridal Prep - one of my fav parts of the day, it’s often slow, can be chilled, sometimes chaotic. Normally very relaxed up until an hour to go then all hell brakes loose! It’s a time for me to settle in and allow everyone to get used to me with my camera, look for those angles and storytelling moments, layering and bringing more into my frame to tell a story. It allows me to be creative as I have the time to look for dynamic compositions and wait for the moment to happen. I love the getting ready part, from hair and makeup to dresses on, it’s always a lovely start to the day ahead! ❤️
