A long drive back last night from Ashley and Dale's amazing wedding at Glen Clova yesterday but we are up bright and early - preview gallery sent and all ready for the Weddings at Kingsmills open day from 12.30 - 3.30 today.

I am running an offer for anyone who comes down and leaves their name who books within 7 days of the event.

My website now has a section dedicated to local venues in the Highlands where you can see photos and find out a little more about each location and compare, you can also see links to galleries at the foot of each venue.

I'll be adding more to this when over time but there are a few here to get started.

My hope is that this page will be a good resource for couples to discover local venues and see the space and grounds from real weddings.

A quick note about enquiries 👋

Back in the office tomorrow after a winter break abroad and looking forward to getting back to everyone who messaged over the past 3 or 4 weeks.

I just wanted to share a bit of transparency around wedding enquiries. I don’t tend to reply to very generic messages that come through large enquiry platforms like Bridebook or Bark. In many cases those enquiries are sent out to dozens of photographers at once, often with price as the main deciding factor. I do have a presence on these sites but not the full paid for versions.

My approach has always been a bit more personal. If a couple genuinely connects with my work and my style, they usually reach out directly, and those conversations tend to be a much better fit on both sides.

A few couples today have asked whether I received their message via these platforms and the honest answer is that I’ve largely stepped back from replying there . If you love my work and think we might be a good match, the best way to get in touch is always directly through my email, WhatsApp or socials.

A few photos from Carly and Michael's big day at Loch Ness Country House Hotel this weekend.

Ive enjoyed a slower paced November with mainly weekend weddings but things ramp up again for a really busy December with 8 weddings still to do for 2025 before having a wee break in the New Year to catch up some back of house admin and an exciting new website thats been in development for over a year now lol 🤣

I caught up with Carly and her family in the morning at Loch Ness CHH and spent a lovely day with them all capturing these photos. You can see there was lots of joy and emotions throughout the day.
