Puffin.

Last year I went to Lunga on a photography boat trip, which meant I had more time to spend with these lovely birds, and I also had the opportunity to photograph them at a slightly different time of day, with different lighting.

I know this won't be to everyone's taste, but I like it 🙂

While breaching dolphins are lovely, I also enjoying seeing some of the less dramatic social behaviour and interactions ...

While breaching dolphins are lovely, I also enjoying seeing some of the less dramatic social behaviour and interactions between the different dolphins. I also love the way this dolphin is looking at us on the beach. I wonder what he is thinking?

Not an osprey.

At the weekend, I set the alarm for 3:15am (yawn!) and headed down to the Cairngorms to try to photograph ospreys fishing. One osprey dived before sunrise and then..... nothing!

That's wildlife for you! And just to rub salt into the wounds, the next day they had at least 5 dives, apparently.

Anyway, fortunately this kingfisher appeared, meaning I didn't go home completely empty handed.

A few photos of some common dolphins and a humpback whale, seen on a recent trip with Shearwater Cruises, Ullapool.

The humpback was really active and gave us great views of its fluke, which can hopefully be used to identify the individual.

What a great day! 😁✌️
