Some of you might already know about my latest good news...and it's that, I've been honoured by my local council and the Colchester and Ipswich museums with my very own photographic exhibition later this summer. It's a retrospective of my work from over 30 years in photography.

As I've said, It's a great honour for me, and one, that I feel immensely proud of. Even a couple of days after I was approached by Ipswich Museum's Curator Emma Roodhouse the reality still hadn't sunk in, I thought they meant to give me a corner or maybe a small room to hang a couple of my pictures.

Well, how wrong was I? I'm to have the majority of Christchurch Mansion,(where they display their Constables and other major artworks) to show my photography. I was afraid that I wouldn't have enough strong images to display; apparently, I have so many that it will be an evolving exhibition, to run for TEN months, so I can show other pieces of my work.

Anyway, there's more to tell, so I will post more as the exhibition nears its launch date in late June.

I've been having some great feedback in regards to my '40+ women in business' photo project, and all of it very positive too.

I signed another new addition to the project yesterday, who expressed her excitement about joining my venture, which was great.

Plus, I had a quick lunch yesterday with another interested lady, who wanted to express her thoughts and ideas, she'll be coming on board at a later date and is encouraged by the prospect of recounting her business story for the project.

I'll be posting and highlighting more about a series of issues pointed out to me by some of the individuals I've spoken to so far. And as you can imagine, some have a lot to say about what it's like to be female, in business past 40.

I'm still looking for more women in business over 40+ from all walks of life to sign up, so please do get in touch if you'd like to be a part of this little project and exhibition, I'd love to include you as one of my 40 portraits.

This year is proving to be a very busy one already. We're already into March and new shoots, ideas, concepts and opportunities are all coming in thick and fast. I've told you about my 40+ Women in Business photo project, well it looks like I might have to change this slightly and include all women over 40+ such is the response. Which is great.

I'm also assembling a new website site, which is coming soon. I'm looking to restart my Personal branding photo service with a new landing page, as I'm looking to 'up' my presence in this section, it's work that I really like producing, plus I get to collaborate with so many great people and entrepreneurs. I'll leave the link below if you're still thinking about raising or even elevating your online presence sometime this year, I'd love to chat with you if so, I'm sure I'll be able to help raise and establish your presence with some great imagery.

I'm also working with a group in London on their new football app, I can't say any more about this just yet, but it's a really new and exciting project, and something I'm looking forward to getting started with.

Today I'm looking through all my archives for my upcoming exhibition in June. I'm not even sure I've told you all about this yet, so watch this space, I will be talking more about this very soon.

Currently, I am working on a long-term project with a large charity, and I couldn't be more excited about it. I love this. I bumped into this lovely dog owner while we were walking our dogs - she with her two Dalmatian’s through Christchurch Park in Ipswich. I had to stop her and comment on her outfit, black and white polka dot top and black leggings.
She assured me that she had just come from work and needed to walk the dogs.

“It’s just a coincidence that I wore this outfit when I dressed this morning” she told with a shy little laugh.

Well whether it was intellectual or not, I thought she and her dogs looked very cool, I just wished I had one of my cameras with me… typical!
Well at least I have my iPhone to capture this lovely picture.

My Daughter wants a proper camera...at last! :-)

Finally...my daughter's taken an interest in owning a proper camera.

It seems that these strange and scary times have awoken my 14 year to what can only be described as a momentous or historical period of time in our lives.

My daughter wants to put together a pictorial Coronavirus diary, photographing everything from the most mundane to the most intriguing.

So I've found this brilliant little auto focus Konica Hexar film camera that I haven't used for over twenty years, but to my delight seems to work perfectly...with new batteries.

So let's see what Georgia comes up with over the next couple of months, while hoping for a breakthrough in hideously testing time.
