One of the many photographs of mushrooms from today’s outing at Borthwood. I like this one as it feels like a miniature scene,this mushroom was no bigger than my finger nail.

Macro is not one of my strong points but it’s fun to explore and experiment with different subjects.

Blackgang Chine at night.

I’ve had this shot in mind for a while, waiting for the Milky Way to line up in the right position behind the old Blackgang figure.

Last night everything finally came together. Clear skies, no Moon and the Milky Way sitting exactly where I’d hoped.

Definitely one of my favourite images from this year’s Milky Way season.

Here’s a sneak peek into what I’ve been working on over the past few weeks, setting up the printer so I can get the images of the computer and into your hands.

I’ve still got a bit more testing to do with papers and such but I’m pleased with how they are coming out this image is from yesterday’s outing in Newtown.

It’s bank holiday weekend. You arrive at Ryde hoping for better weather but instead you’re greeted by the wind, rain and a dark looming cloud overhead.

Then you remember, that the Island can sometimes feel like the Med but it is still England after all. 😂

Still I think the weather gave Ryde pier a bit of character.

Gurnard on fire 🔥

One of those evenings where the sky just kept getting better.

I headed down to Gurnard hoping for a bit of colour at sunset, but wasn’t expecting quite this display. The warm light reflecting across the Solent was incredible to watch.

Definitely worth getting the camera out for this one 📷

I spent a while walking around looking for different compositions before settling on this one. The worn path through the dry summer grass caught my attention, leading straight towards the windmill and its little door.
