We were contacted this morning ( 10/05/25) for help with this gorgeous lad Cooper.
The family are on holiday. It's unlike Cooper to disappear as he did this morning.
The staff of the holiday centre at Nodes Point Holiday Park were helping the owners along with many members of the public as word was rapidly passed around to please help look for Cooper.
One of our thermal drone pilots was able to respond quickly. Flights were technically tricky today due to strong gusts of wind. Word came back that Cooper had been seen and gently persuaded to stay at a cafe ( apologies as unfortunately I didn't catch the name). Sincere thanks to the staff as they looked after him until the owners could get there.
Our pilot kept his Drone in the air for a while longer so could observe ( as a precaution) that Cooper didn't attempt to bolt off anywhere else whilst being returned to their Caravan.
Wonderful community effort and great kindness shown to enable Cooper to be reunited swiftly with his owners.
Cooper was exhausted but otherwise ok and going to rest for the remainder of the day.
Sincere thanks to everyone that helped Cooper today 😁🥰

Just dropped back-to-back sessions of filming on the Island yesterday and couldn’t resist sharing a few behind-the-scenes moments! 🚁🌅

I started out at Ryde Beach, where I managed to capture a Hovertravel hovercraft gliding in — always an impressive sight. Before taking off, I grabbed a quick phone clip of its arrival to kick things off. After that, it was time to get the drone in the air and make the most of the view.

Lily kindly caught a great moment of me repping my Wight Above hoodie while getting into position. She also filmed a clip of the drone landing, which I always love being able to include — it shows the calmer, more technical side of the work. Big shout-out to her for always having my back with these shots! 🙌

Later in the day, I headed over to Binstead Beach, just off Ladies Walk near Ryde Golf Club, where I captured the sunset over the Solent and a few Wightlink ferries coming and going from Fishbourne. The light was perfect, and I managed to get some solid shots I can’t wait to edit and share soon.

📢 A Huge Thank You to Everyone! 🙌🚁

Wow—what a journey this has already been! It’s only been my first week of flying a drone, and I just want to thank everyone who has shown support, given me motivation, and encouraged me to keep going. It means the world! 🌍✨

🚀 Where This All Started…
As many of you know, I’m completely new to drones—this is my first week flying, filming, and editing. My first video may not be perfect, but this is a learning curve, and I know that with time and practice, things will only get better!

📍 Key Things I’m Working On:
1️⃣ Flying the drone smoothly – Mastering manoeuvres & cinematic shots.
2️⃣ Knowing what to shoot – Learning what makes footage engaging & breathtaking.
3️⃣ Editing my footage – Developing my skills to improve quality & storytelling.
4️⃣ Trusting the drone – Flying over water is nerve-wracking! 😅 It feels far away, and while issues are rare, there’s always that thought—what if something goes wrong? Losing it in the sea would be a nightmare, but I know confidence comes with time!

It’s only the beginning, but I’m proud of what I’ve created as a beginner. Who knows where this journey could take us? Maybe one day I’ll look back at this moment with a proud smile, reflecting on how it all started.
