Definitely wishing I was at MCM this weekend, though more and more seem to be giving it a miss.

Unfortunately, due to ongoing poor health, I won't be able to attend Liverpool Comic Con this weekend as I had originally hoped.

When my health allows though, I will be starting to conduct stand alone, individual and group, cosplay photoshoots on a collaborative basis.

I'll put up shoot calls as my plans firm up.

Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to be able to attend MCM London this year (either May or October) - I had been hoping to get down for at least a day but certainly don't think I'll be able to for May, have to wait and see for October.

I do though hope to attend Liverpool Comic Con on May 4th/5th, and, possibly, a day at Wales Comic Con on 6th or 7th April.

Then I should be able to do a day (at least) at Manchester in July.

I've been playing with, and getting addicted to, Paintstorm studio, a fully featured (and very reasonably priced) digital painting package.

Hmm, I wasn't able to attend the first London Megacon.

The reports from those I know who attended though are largely universally positive, that the atmosphere was great, plenty of cosplayers and nice to be able to move around with some space.

There were some reports of photographers having problems with over officious security, some being 'barred' because their camera looked 'too professional' for instance, which isn't good

Reports though from all the traders I know are the total opposite, it was disastrous for most traders with many making large losses and who won't trade there again.

This illustrates the conflicting aims of a 'successful' con.

Large footfall is needed for most organisers and certainly traders to consider it a success. Most attendees would prefer it much quieter.

I suspect that, financially, this one may not have been a success and it will be interesting to see if there is now ever another.

Unfortunately I am going through some very difficult stuff, I'm going to be very quiet for a while. It's going to take me a while to get myself sorted but I will be back, and existing plans for new t-shirts etc will still happen.

Hope to catch you at a con somewhere, sometime.
