Such a beautiful setting for a wedding day - these gardens were made for quiet little moments together.

I love taking my couples away from everything for a short while during their wedding. No crowds, no pressure - just a chance to slow things down, have a little wander and enjoy the fact that they have actually just got married. These are often the photographs where their personalities really come through.

The gorgeous gardens, the old glasshouse, that incredible building and the blue and white details running through the flowers and suits made everything come together beautifully.

For me, wedding photography is about capturing the whole story - the details you carefully chose, the people you love and those natural moments between the two of you that cannot be planned.

There is something about an autumn wedding that just works so beautifully.
The changing leaves, those warm golden tones and the softer light give you a backdrop that you simply cannot recreate at any other time of year.
And these photographs are exactly why I love it.
You do not need to travel anywhere elaborate or spend hours away from your guests - sometimes it is simply about stepping outside together, finding that little pocket of autumn colour and having a few quiet minutes to yourselves.
I love creating the beautiful portraits you will want to frame, but without your wedding day feeling like one long photoshoot. A little guidance when you need it, plenty of time to enjoy your people, and photographs that still feel like you.
If you are planning an autumn wedding, make the most of what the season gives you. Those golden leaves really do make the loveliest backdrop.

A good photography timeline does not mean spending half your wedding day posing.

It means allowing enough room for the photographs you care about, without rushing from one part of the celebration to the next.

Allow breathing room around getting ready, keep the group list focused, plan couple portraits around the light where possible and leave a small buffer before dinner or speeches.

Your exact timings will depend on your venue, ceremony and priorities, but a little breathing space makes a noticeable difference.

Save this for your planning meeting.

Something new from Jones Film & Photo - we are now offering content creation, with weddings being our main focus.

Having spent so much time capturing weddings through photography and film, this felt like a natural addition to what we already offer. Wedding content creation is all about capturing those little in-between moments - the excitement of getting ready, behind the scenes, your guests, the laughter and all those moments you might otherwise miss.

Using iPhone and Pocket Osmo, we’ll create natural, engaging photo and video content from your wedding day, giving you plenty of memories to look back on and share across your social media.

Weddings will be at the heart of our content creation service, but we’ll also be offering content shoots for local businesses, brands and events.

As a Wedding Content Creator based in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, we’ll be bringing the same relaxed and people-focused approach that we bring to our wedding photography and videography.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Wedgner, who married at Lazaat in Hull yesterday.

Such a gorgeous day from beginning to end - surrounded by their family and friends, plenty of laughter, a beautiful confetti moment and some lovely quieter moments together as newlyweds.

We were treated to the most beautiful evening light too, giving us the perfect opportunity to sneak away for a few relaxed portraits before the celebrations continued.

It was an absolute pleasure capturing the story of their day and all those little moments in between.

Such a lovely day celebrating these two at Oaklands - relaxed, full of laughter and surrounded by their favourite people.

From the bridesmaids looking absolutely beautiful and the lads having plenty of fun, to those quieter moments of Emily and Jason together, their day had such a lovely mix of everything. I love capturing weddings exactly like this - the big moments, the little details and all those natural moments happening in between.

Oaklands looked beautiful too, with all the soft neutral details, white florals and greenery bringing everything together perfectly.
