LED SIGNALS, ANCIENT WEAPONS & A SHIP OUT OF WATER
Week Seven of our included a visit to the city of Leeds, an upgrade of the traffic signals outside the Gilson Hotel and an aerial view of Hull and the Humber on a rare but very welcome sunny day, giving lots of people a good reason to get outdoors for a bit.

DIGGING, PLANTING & WALKING WITH WALTER

Relying on the weather app to get through week six to ensure the daily picture continues. Lots of street photography for the last seven days, including strobist photography down on the marina, panning with the police on Ferensway and a stroll with a furry visitor.

ONE SECOND — JANUARY 2026
Alongside our Project 365 Photography Challenge, we’ve also started a daily video project called One Second 2026.
The idea is simple: film something every day of the year, then keep just one second from each day. Over time, those seconds build into a moving record of moments passing by.
This video shows the first 31 seconds — January 2026, one day at a time.

Week five is complete and we are now into February. This newest batch includes a ride on the bridge, a walk through the puddles and a moment to appreciate beautiful 400+ year old artwork, all right here in the city of Hull.

A SLOW WEEK UNDER THE CLOUDS

Contending with lots of cloud and quite a bit of rain for week three of our Project 365 Photography Challenge. Some days have been a quick picture grab, but others have been a test of fiddling to fit ND filters and adjusting the icy-cold metal tripod with numb fingers, all to try extract an artistic shot from the gloomy scene. Day 15 – 21 has been fun.

BLUE HOUR, PANNING & SNOW FLOWERS – Week 2
Seven days of photos in the finger-numbing cold around Hull as our Project 365 Challenge completes week 2. We’ve got brickwork, volunteers at the Paragon Exchange and a slow-shutter evening shot as part of the collection. This photo-a-day project is now 14 days in and keeping us on our toes to find new images.
