Turning In is finally here!

Single No.2 from and their upcoming album ABSTRACT / NATURAL.

Me and shot this video on the mystical Spurn Point. Driven by the lyrics and guided by the coast we made Turning In.

The brief was Lyric Video and Lyric Video we delivered.

Very proud of this one, we worked well and hard to get the lyrics on screen in a way that wasn't just typed up on screen. James had the brilliant idea of using acetate and projection. Several hours of delirium later and we nailed it.

WASSAIL!

The other week I was invited down to the Setting D**e Community Green Space by Pickering Road Community Orchard and Friends Of Garrowby Orchard, to capture their Wassail Event.

Here we toasted to good health and warded off any evil spirits from the orchard ready for the year ahead!

It was a fun day that felt like we were all taking a good step forward into the year!

Thank you to Hull Butterfly City, Hull and East Yorkshire Charitable Trust, and the Lord Mayor for supporting the event.

I love how it creates the dark contrast in the sky and ghostly white trees.

I'd read that some smartphone cameras have a weak IR blocking filter which means a bit comes through to the sensor which means they can pick up a bit of infrared light without modification!

Those Oasis heads will recognise the technique from the Live Forever single cover.

Looking forward to spring to shoot some more of the 35mm IR Film I've had kicking about!

HOT WAX @ O2 Ritz 15/10/25

Last week I took a drive out to Manchester to see pals supporting at the O2 Ritz. It was an awesome show! Looked and sounded amazing in a stunning venue with a hefty turnout too!

It was a hard one to shoot with around 20 Togs in the pit which made it hard to move so I decided to shoot with just the 50mm and the 16-35mm and got creative with some angles, and trying to keep out of the way!

Hastings Bonfire 2025

Another one of the local Sussex traditions of the area where Bonfire Societies from Hastings and Neighbouring towns take turns in hosting a procession and a bonfire in the run up to 5th November. Each town burns an effigy of a current controversial figure or topic. This year's being the A21 Road Works which have just been completed after causing a long period of disruption in the area!

Great seeing all the different towns showing out in their unique outfits and handmade uniforms

A couple weeks ago I was asked to shoot at

I was absolutely blown away by the sheer power and beauty of their voices that filled the entire Minster front to back. The air felt alive, it was incredible.

If you get the chance to see them, do it! You won't be disappointed!
