The sun was shining this morning, so off to North Cave Wetlands YWT I went.
An early visit but managed to capture some beautiful birds. This collection includes a diving Bluetit, a Lapwing, a cute little Wren and a Chiffchaff.

Some more shots from my visit to North Cave Wetlands YWT. This selection includes a Great Tit, a Dunnock, a Blackbird, a Thrush and finally a Blue Tit plotting how to get some food from under the beak of a Blackbird.

Finally some sunshine. After what feels like an eternity of dull grey skies and rain, we have some blue sky and sunshine. So off to Cave Wetlands YWT I went.
Lots of birds around, I managed to capture the Robin, Great Tit, Grey Heron, a very friendly Pheasant who walked right past me, and Bluetit sneaking some food from under the beak of a Song Thrush.

While its wasn't a great day for birds, there were other hidden treasures which revealed themselves in the fog and mist.

A first for me :)
I had seen Deer wandering around my parents house so I set up nice and early and was rewarded.
A Roe Deer.
There have been 3 wandering around the area.

What could be nicer then spending a bright & sunny Bank Holiday Monday morning wandering around North Cave Wetlands YWT
Thank you to the group of spotters on the back lane who let me use their scopes to 'see' the Night Heron.
Today I'm sharing a selection of Birds including a Little Egret, A juvenile Chiffchaff (I think) , a lovely female Mallard and a couple of Blue-Tits.
