Not much time in my life for bird photography but there have been a lot of pygmy owls around this winter and Natalie and I got out a couple of times to have a look. If you are not familiar with them the photo in the thicket holding the vole gives you a pretty good idea of just how small they are.

We just finished calving now turnout and branding so not much time for bird photography. Luckily there are lots of birds around the ranches, or on the way, and I always have a camera in the truck.

It was nice to see the cranes at our place this morning. The snow, not so much 😀
