As I’m coming into this new season in my life (in a new state!!) I’ve felt the need to reevaluate my business and what’s important to me! I’ve been focusing heavily on all things motherhood for quite some time and I really want my business to reflect that.
I’ve been in the middle of a rebrand for a few months now and I’m finally ready to share it with the world!

Blissfully Beautiful Birth will now be titled “Unscripted Birth and Baby.” I want my business name to reflect my heart for mothers and families!

- I will continue to tell the unscripted story of your birth through the lens of my camera. I genuinely love birth photography and I’m super excited to serve the women of Minot!

- I will continue to offer birth doula services! Birth doula’s are so important and I feel so passionate about supporting mothers during pregnancy and in labor. Birth doula services can be booked with or without birth photography services!

- I will continue offering maternity sessions outdoors, in my home studio or in your home! I think this time during motherhood is just so sweet and should be captured!

- I will still be offering posed, wrapped and lifestyle newborn sessions! I just can’t get enough of photographing sweet little newborns and their awestruck parents (and siblings)!

- I will now be offering unscripted motherhood sessions! These sessions are a great way to honor the beauty of your motherhood! You can get an idea of what those sessions look like here: https://unscriptedbirthandbaby.com

- I will now be offering various milestone sessions for your growing children! I love watching your families grow up!! These sessions include but are not limited to sitter sessions, first birthday and milk bath sessions!

- I will no longer be offering family or other portrait sessions for new clients. I will continue offering family sessions for returning birth, maternity and newborn clients only!

Rainbow Baby: A baby born to a family that has previously lost a baby due to miscarriage,
stillbirth or death during infancy.

This project is so near and dear to my heart.

10 years ago I suffered through a heartbreaking miscarriage. It took me a long time to fully grasp what that would mean for my future. I would be celebrating my baby’s eleventh birthday this coming September. I often wonder what my baby would be like today. My heart still aches and likely always will.

This isn’t the only way my life was altered. When you suffer a pregnancy loss it forever alters the way you view pregnancy. The magic of pregnancy, the innocence is lost forever. Every cramp and every weird feeling leads you to fear the worst. Your heart races at every appointment and every ultrasound. You brace yourself to hear “I’m sorry, there is no heartbeat.” You sigh in relief at the end of each day that you are still pregnant.

Rainbow babies bring so much healing. They don’t replace the babies we’ve lost, nor do they diminish our experiences. They are the fufilment of a deep yearning within our hearts. Great pain followed by great joy. My own rainbow baby is now a vibrant, healthy 8 year old. She brings so much joy to my life! I will forever be grateful for her and her three younger siblings.

I hope you all had a wonderful and refreshing holiday season! I took some time to slow down and enjoy my family while still trying to keep up with the hustle and bustle of it all!

Isn't life all about finding balance? 😁
