A grey February sky, dry weather all day, and the rain holding off until everyone was safely inside for dinner... sometimes wedding days really do work out perfectly. 🤍
One of the things I love most about being a wedding photographer in Scotland is that every season brings something different. While sunshine is lovely, there’s something so timeless about soft overcast light. It creates the most beautiful, flattering photographs and lets the focus stay exactly where it should be, on the people and the moments that matter most.
This day at Sherbrooke Castle was full of laughter, happy tears, and couples portraits without a single worry about the weather. Then, just as everyone sat down to celebrate, the skies opened and the rain arrived right on cue.
A perfect reminder that your wedding day doesn't need perfect weather to be perfect.

The kind of wedding where the couple fully embrace the day, trust the process, and aren't afraid to have a little fun along the way.
No worrying about the camera. No rushing from one thing to the next. Just taking it all in, laughing together, and making the most of every moment.
On a beautiful sunny day like this, it felt less like a photoshoot and more like an adventure. We wandered, chatted, and created space for those natural moments that end up meaning the most years later.

💛🌼 A little glimpse into my world, beyond the weddings.

My whole world, in one frame.
Five years of Willow growing up far too quickly, and Harley who's now 13 somehow still matching his energy step for step. Muddy shoes(and paws), endless running, and moments like this that feel simple but mean everything.
I’m always so focused on capturing this for other people that I sometimes forget to do it for myself, so this felt really special.
And these yellow fields… I’ve always wanted to photograph here, and it feels even more special capturing them like this.

…me, the second someone points a camera at me instead of my couples
And honestly? This is exactly why I photograph the way I do.
Because I get it.
Being in front of a camera can feel awkward, unnatural, and a bit “what do I do with my hands?”
That’s why I don’t expect you to know what you’re doing either 🤍
