Before I dive into the answer... here’s a question for you.
Does your baby have to be asleep for their newborn photo shoot?
The short answer... No! 🤍
What we really need is a baby who feels safe, comfortable and content.
Of course, sleepy babies make it easier to create those beautifully curled-up poses everyone loves. But awake babies can be absolutely magical too. Those wide eyes, curious expressions and little stretches tell their own beautiful story.
As babies get a little older, they’re naturally more alert. So instead of fighting that, we embrace it and create gorgeous portraits that celebrate this stage too.
Over the years we’ve photographed more than 5,500 babies, so we’ve learned plenty of gentle tricks to help little ones relax. A warm studio, white noise, cosy wraps, gentle rocking, plenty of time for cuddles and feeds, and a completely baby-led approach all help your little one feel secure.
Every baby is different, and that’s perfectly okay. We work with your baby, never against them.
So here’s my question for you...
💭 If you had to choose, would you prefer sleepy, curled-up newborn portraits, or beautiful wide-awake portraits full of personality?
