Hi, my name’s Morganna and I’m a photographer. I’m relatively new to the photography game and it all started back in the summer of 2015 when I started Morganna Designs online and wanted to take better images of my floral designs. Two years later and I still have my trusty little canon EOS-M which I use for all my photography, investing in new lenses and little bits of kit as and when I can. In my day life, I work at Lancaster University managing the social media accounts. It’s a busy job and I’m learning lots, however, my real passion is photography so when I’m not tweeting, you’ll find me with my little camera capturing the things that make my heart sing.

Farewell, Summer on Film 🌞🎞️

One last roll before the season slips away.

The ice creams have melted, the roses are fading, the evenings are drawing in a little earlier and the school shoes are back by the door. Summer never leaves all at once — it disappears in tiny moments you don't realise you'll miss until they're gone.

This is what I love most about film photography. It holds onto the ordinary things. The sticky fingers. The sun-bleached hair. The flowers still bravely blooming as the seasons begin to change.

A few quiet frames from our final days of summer, captured on 35mm film and tucked away for future versions of us to find.

Here's to a season of barefoot adventures, slower mornings, salty skin and memories that feel even sweeter now they're behind us.

🍂 AUTUMN STORIES | MODEL CALL 🍂

After the success of my Summer at Home project, I'm looking for 3-4 families to take part in a new documentary photography project celebrating all the little moments that make autumn feel so special.

I'm searching for families whose autumn traditions I'd love to document — whether that's pumpkin picking, woodland walks, coffee shop dates, baking together, pumpkin carving or simply enjoying a cosy afternoon at home.

These sessions will be photographed on a mixture of digital and 35mm film, creating a collection of warm, nostalgic images full of story and connection.

In return, selected families will receive a complimentary documentary session and a selection of images. (Receive 5 hand-edited digital images of your choice from a gallery of approximately 25-30 images.)

Please note that families must be comfortable with images being shared on social media, my website, marketing materials and publication submissions. Participants will also be asked to share at least one image from their gallery and tag my business.

🍂 A Little Slice of Autumn Magic at Fenham Carr 🍂

Autumn will always be my favourite season to photograph.

The golden light. The crunchy leaves. The cosy layers. The way families naturally pull a little closer together as the days grow cooler.

This beautiful session with the Suddell family at Fenham Carr was full of everything I love about autumn photography — woodland adventures, quiet moments, and the kind of connection that can't be posed.

Years from now, these photographs won't just remind them what life looked like. They'll remind them how it felt. The cuddles. The giggles. The little hand wrapped around mum's neck. The way their daughter nestled safely between them.

These ordinary moments become the memories we treasure most.

And that's why I love photographing families in autumn. 🍁

There are days when I look at these photographs and see wild curls, ink-stained fingers and the remnants of a day fully lived.

And then there are days when I look a little deeper.

I see a little boy who experiences the world in his own extraordinary way. A boy who feels everything intensely. Who notices details others miss. Who can move from laughter to overwhelm in the space of a heartbeat. Who teaches me daily that there is no single "right" way to be.

These portraits won't win awards for perfect smiles or neatly folded hands.

Instead, they hold something far more precious to me.

They hold him.

The curious expressions. The constant movement. The storytelling hands. The wonder. The vulnerability. The magic.

Motherhood has taught me that the photographs I treasure most are rarely the polished ones. They're the images that preserve a feeling, a season, a person exactly as they were.

And this season of River? Wild-haired, bright-eyed, endlessly fascinating and completely, unapologetically himself.

I know these days won't last forever.

So I'll keep photographing them. The messy moments. The ordinary moments. The moments that quietly become memories before we're ready.

Honestly, bless the chaos ✨

A mantra I think every family should repeat before their session. Once you remove the pressure of the perfect location, outfits, styling etc. etc. and just let 'kids be kids' the magic begins to happen. Parents relax, phones are forgotten and moments of connection take precedence. Give me ALL the chaos please and I'll give you photographs that let you hold onto a little piece of it all forever. 🫶

It was so lovely to catch up with this beautiful family and their three gorgeous kiddos. Nothing special, just summer at home featuring the kind of moments you'll never want to forget.
