Light in the Window
Now I may need Colour, Mono, Colour Pop or Yellow in the Photocrowd Competiton's at times.

Shoreline Stroll
along the Morecambe Shoreline just as the sun was going down. Arhhhhh, I love the lovely warm fussy feeling you get when watching such a natural spectacle I wonder if they did too?

Puffball and Earthball
but do you know which is which????
The Puffball if young with a marshmallow white interior is edible, the Earthball is not, they have also been known to resemble a warty waxy potato.

Tawny Grisette
(Amanita Fulva) if you pardon the pun, to me looks like a "Big Nob"
and are found in deciduous and coniferous forests.
Whilst I cannot use this in any competition because it is not a pristine specimen and with a pleasing background, this is real life, not stage set. It goes to show how quickly insects start to eat the fungi because this one is still young and not had a chance to open its cap. I love the cleanliness of the stem against the orangey brown cap.

Trio of Rustgills
Well that's my analysis of these inedible fungi.
Cap-Rusty Orange to Golden Yellow starting to convex and flatten with age - Check
Gills-Pale yellow turning rusty brown as spores mature - Check
Stem- Slender, Pale to Brownish, often featuring fine whitish fibres - Check
Habitat- Typically grows on decaying conifer wood stumps or fallen logs - Check

What I hadn't noticed before, and especially when I took the photo is the teeny weeny one just to the left near the mycelia.

King One
Now that is what I call a ship, it was HUGE.
It is a specialised heavy deck carrier and sails under the flag of Liberia. Specially designed to support and carry large offshore wind components, which include the monopile fountations (those yellow things)

It slowly, slowly left the docks with the 2 tug boats pulling it along, heading out to sea, to deliver its cargo to one of the windfarms.

Reflections of Leith
Looking towards to old Victoria Swing Bridge and the docks beyond. The yellow Jacket Foundations were brought there by Inch Cape and are not a permanent fixture but have been there several months and will support the wind turbines offshore early next year. Another set of works underway to shift from fossil fuels.

Chez Bernard
on the Shores of Leith
A lovely French W**e Bar, that does great food and great coffee. We went a couple of times over last weekend, and I found out it had only opened early August and the guy named it in honour of his grandfather, I wish them well for the future.

I was pleased with Mr Postie today….
My BPE 4 certificate, this means I have had over 200 acceptances in British Photographic Exhibitions. No mean feat, I can tell you, the next and final level is, you’ve guessed it BPE5 at 300 acceptances, so the journey continues. Before it’s just awards to ABPE if I go that far.

Forgotten Bikes
Down a leafy side street near a park, all chained to the railings as if the kids had gone to play and never moved again. Even though rusty the bell still rung, albeit not as crisp as once upon a time.
