Headshots are more than just a nice photo, they’re your calling card as a performer. It’s so important to show your range, because different roles call for completely different looks and energy.

Agents will always put forward the shot that best matches what a casting director is looking for. The CD casting a fun, upbeat fast food commercial is searching for something very different to a CD looking for talent for a gritty period drama and your headshots should reflect that versatility.

Friends, Julie and Jon, booked me for a double headshot session a few days ago.

Celebrant Julie, wanted some shots for her brand new website, advertising herself as a celebrant for weddings and funerals, along with a handful of headshots for supporting artist work and Jon, wanted some updated actor headshots showing a range of looks. The cast of Legally Blonde are taking to the stage tomorrow evening for their Opening Night performance and we cannot wait! 💕

Here’s a little sneak peek of the Bend Cast during today’s tech rehearsal… and trust us, you are in for a treat if you’ve got tickets to see these fantastic students in action.

The set is incredible, the costumes are amazing, and these sensational students have worked so hard to bring this show to life.

Audrey Pearl is THAT girl. 💅🐾

This Paw-sitively elite pooch is playing BOTH Bruiser AND Rufus in Legally Blonde next week. Range? Unmatched. Versatility? Iconic.

As Churchill Academy’s pup superstar, she’s secured her own personal photo shoot (because obviously the camera loves her). The humans? Still waiting on their call sheets.

Valentine’s Day will always be one of the most romantic dates in the calendar to say “I do” and Abby & Tom chose it for their wedding at the beautiful Cadbury House Hotel on Saturday.

Not only was there love in the air, it was hands down one of the best weather days we’ve had all year so far, absolute perfection for a February celebration.

One of my favourite moments from the morning was Tom’s card to Abby: “You’re the best thing I ever found on the internet.” It had maid of honour Ellie and all the bridesmaids laughing their heads off while Abby was getting ready.

A total first for me as well… the couple requested a photo next to the car park space where they shared their very first kiss three and a half years ago, right there at Cadbury House. That moment is exactly why they chose the venue for their wedding. I can honestly say I’ve never had a request for a photo in a car park before… but that’s the beauty of love. Among all the stunning backdrops the venue has to offer, their number one spot was a parking space. Because love isn’t always grand moments, sometimes it starts with a kiss in a car park

Abby & Tom didn’t want a big first dance spotlight… but they absolutely got a moment to remember when the groom’s dad’s band, The Iron Overloads, kicked things off with Chasing Cars, dance floor packed, phones in the air, everyone singing along. No big circle around the couple, just exactly what they wanted everyone together enjoying the party.

Mr & Mrs Ware, what a day. What a love story. It was an absolute pleasure to spend Valentine’s Day with you both and capture every real, joyful, car-park-kiss kind of moment. Have a fantastic cruise! .ware.589

🤍 C & S 🤍

My 2026 weddings kicked off at the end of January. The 31st gave us the perfect winter wedding for the utterly lovely Claire & Sam, now officially Mr & Mrs Hobart!

St. Andrew’s Church in Backwell was glowing with warmth, as Claire arrived in style in a car from Cadbury Cars, ready to make her entrance. Escorted down the aisle by her proud dad.

After the ceremony, we spilled out into the crisp winter air for hugs, laughter, confetti (so much confetti!) and some very important family photos at Claire’s family church.

As we left for Cadbury House, we had a tiny spell of drizzle, just enough to keep us on our toes, but then the skies behaved beautifully. We captured couple photos as guests arrived, which always works really well, as the couple don’t miss out on any of their reception and the guests aren’t wondering where you’ve disappeared to. By the time we finished, everyone was gathered with welcome drinks in hand, ready to cheer Claire & Sam into the venue.

Reception drinks flowed, followed by a delicious three-course meal… but my favourite bit of the day? Wedlocked! A fully personalised portable escape room that travelled all the way from Reading. Such a fun, unique touch for an escape-room-loving couple. If that had existed when I got married, I’d have been first in line. 🔐🗝️

We also had a very important groom’s request, a full boy-band-style photo with his friends, draped dramatically over the gorgeous rocks in the Great Room. Swipe to see that masterpiece.

Saturday at Holne Park House was the perfect way to end the 2025 season.
The weather held out perfectly for the most Christmassy celebration for Emily & Dan, cold enough to feel festive, but kind enough to let us outside for a bit (before we all politely scuttled back in 😄)

Let’s talk colour choices, because WOW. A really deep, dark green that looked incredible in velvet for the bridesmaids. Paired with the groom, best woman Suzy, and ushers in warm brown suits that contrasted beautifully.

The ceremony took place in the cosy Dawson Room, followed by my one of my favourite things about winter weddings: Snowfetti ❄️

Consider this an official PSA: if you’re getting married in winter and haven’t bought confetti yet… this is your sign.

We didn’t linger outside for too long (December was December-ing 🥶), so guests headed inside to the Inkwell, where they were entertained by a magician, sipped drinks, tackled a sip-and-solve crossword all about Emily & Dan, and filled up on delicious sweet treats.

One of my favourite moments of the day was Dan paying the requested ‘1 goat’ to Ian, Emily’s dad, during the speeches.

A gorgeous day, full of laughter, love, velvet, magic, and just the right amount of festive sparkle 🤍

🤍 M & J 🤍

Melissa and Jaydon had the most beautiful, festive celebration on 11th December at the gorgeous Cadbury House. A mild December day, twinkling lights, and a wedding that was truly all about family. Just perfect.

And at the very heart of it all was their adorable two-year-old daughter Daisy. Because really, what’s better than being two and being a flower girl? Well… being two and having your very best friend Nancy as a fellow flower girl, of course 🌸

Daisy absolutely stole the show, exactly as Mum and Dad expected. Toddlers are chaos (anyone who has one knows this), and while they look angelic, they’re always plotting their next bit of mischief. These photos perfectly capture Daisy’s fabulous, developing personality: stealing the limelight while Mum was getting ready, hiding in the curtains, having the best time with Nancy, and being completely oblivious to a beautiful, emotional moment as Tony, Melissa’s dad, saw her for the first time before walking her down the aisle.

In the evening, I stole Melissa and Jaydon away to focus on the two of them together, making the most of the sparkling lights and that magical festive glow. One of these images shows them beneath the lights, hands resting on Melissa’s lovely baby bump, baby Woods-Spry number two arriving very soon.

Congratulations Melissa and Jaydon. Have a fantastic Christmas, Woods-Spry family 🎄✨

🤍 K & S 🤍

On 1st December, Kelsey & Shane officially became Mr and Mrs Wells in The Old Courtroom at Weston Town Hall.

After flurry of confetti and bubbles on the steps, provided, by a tiny army of nieces and nephews armed with bubble guns like the world’s cutest bridal security team, we braved the great British weather. And by “great,” I mean one of the worst weather days we’ve had in months.

Naturally, as a dedicated member of the lifeboat crew, Shane was keen to head to the seafront for photos. And of course , I said yes…because which bride doesn’t love horizontal rain and winds strong enough to rearrange the hairstyle Lauren from The beauty Spot spent an age perfecting? But honestly, the weather didn’t stand a chance against Kelsey’s smile. She laughed through every gust, every drop, every “are we sure this is a good idea?” moment. And the photos? Completely worth it.

We all thawed out at Rich’s Cider Farm in Highbridge, the perfect spot for their warm, relaxed, celebration. A delicious carvery roast, cosy vibes, and some quick sheltered photos at the Cider Barn made it everything a winter wedding should be, joyful, rustic, and full of love… plus just enough rain to make it memorable!

I absolutely adored all the little touches Kelsey and Shane put together through Temu and Shein. Their day was proof that with creativity, heart, and a whole lot of love, you can create the most beautiful wedding without breaking the bank. Even Kelsey’s stunning dress was a Shein purchase!

What a gorgeous start to my festive season, the first of three weddings this month, and such a beautiful one to kick things off.
