Katie and Jonny did just that.

Instead of spending the morning apart, they chose to get ready together, helping one another with those final touches, Katy looking incredible in her gorgeous dress, finished with the most amazing dark green bow.

We then wandered through the heart of Bristol, stopping for photos as they strolled hand in hand through the city, on the way to Goldney Hall. Waiting there were just eight of their favourite people.

For one of the smallest weddings I’ve photographed this year, they had one of the longest aisles. Their ceremony began with a beautiful walk along the ridge at Goldney, with Bristol stretching out to their left heading towards the charming Rotunda in the ten acres of stunning grounds.

Everything about the ceremony felt deeply personal. They were so wonderfully relaxed that, when it came time for the rings, they realised they had absolutely no idea who was holding them! With no official best man, the registrar simply handed one to one of Jonny’s brothers and the other to Katy’s sister. A little surprise that perfectly summed up the laid-back joy of the day.

Afterwards, there were hugs, happy tears, and a shower of beautiful natural petal confetti outside the Rotunda before we wandered back through the grounds The wedding party enjoyed some celebratory bubbles while we captured some relaxed photos together inside.

The best part? It wont be their only wedding day. I can’t wait to be back with Katy and Jonny next June for a big, joyful celebration with all of their friends and family. ❤️

🤍 S & A 🤍

Shalyna and Ash were married on Sunday at the beautiful Coombe Lodge, and what a day. With gorgeous blue skies and one of the hottest days of the year so far, it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Every detail felt timeless and elegant. From the beautifully named flower-themed tables, complete with delicate wildflower illustrations, to the colourful bud vases dotted throughout the reception, everything was thoughtfully chosen. And Shalyna’s bouquet filled with sweet peas was simply stunning.

The morning was full of excitement, laughter and so much energy, surrounded by best friends getting ready for the celebrations ahead. The boys somehow managed to take almost as long as the girls to get ready too!

The outdoor ceremony was followed by a relaxed reception line, plenty of bubbles in the gardens, and lots of time for guests to soak up the sunshine. Best boy, Oscar, absolutely stole the show. He spent the day living his best life with his grandad and guests, playing golf, knocking over the Jenga tower and keeping everyone entertained.

With the temperatures soaring, we saved the couple portraits until later in the day, which turned out to be the perfect decision. As the sun began to dip and everyone relaxed after dinner, we captured some beautiful moments together in the evening light.

One of my favourite moments came during the speeches, when the best men asked all cabin crew in the room to stand and direct guests to the nearest fire exits in case of emergency, a brilliant nod to Shalyna’s profession and a lovely way to include so many of her friends.

The Lipinski Brothers got the evening started in style, filling the dance floor from the very first song.

🤍 N & L 🤍

I love a weekday wedding. They’re relaxed, joyful, and wonderfully unhurried, and this beautiful day at Cadbury House was exactly that.

The weather kept us on our toes, with a few quick dashes in and out of the buildings throughout the day, but it never once dampened the spirits of this lovely couple or their guests.

The afternoon began with Nadia enjoying a relaxed start to the day alongside her bridesmaid Stacey, mum Ivana, and fabulous hair and makeup artists Lauren and Christina.

Guests arrived early to enjoy drinks on the terrace before gathering for a lovely ceremony in the Drawing Room. Afterwards, we managed confetti and a few quick group photographs before the weather decided it had other plans! Everyone then headed inside to enjoy chocolate-covered strawberries, delicious canapés and glasses of bubbles and Pimms in the Marco Pierre White bar.

Congratulations, Nadia and Luke. Thank you for letting me share a small part of such a relaxed, joyful and love-filled day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together.

Yesterday’s wedding at Yarlington Barn for Emma & Darren had absolutely everything… sunshine, picnic hampers, crazy dogs and an unexpected kazoo performance!

The pair said “I do” beneath twinkling fairy lights before emerging into glorious spring sunshine and a cloud of green and white confetti (which definitely ended up in everyone’s shoes). Guests enjoyed drinks and live music on the terrace while the couple were greeted by their gorgeous and very excitable pooches, Lexi, Teddy and Charlie. Before heading in for a wedding breakfast packed full of picnic hamper deliciousness, honestly, elite wedding food choices

I also have to mention Emma’s beautiful dried flower bouquets 🌾 Such a gorgeous trend at the moment, they look stunning, weigh loads less than traditional bouquets, and double as the loveliest keepsake for bridesmaids to take home.

After dinner, we head to the lake for evening portraits before returning to one of the sweetest moments of the day, Darren surprising Emma with a personalised song pre-recorded by their incredibly talented friend Ryan. Emma was delighted and that special moment turned into an impromptu first dance before the actual first dance.

And just when Darren thought the surprises were over, he found himself recruited into a performance on kazoo duties. A true wedding highlight. .d.carpentry .doughty_

Headshots are more than just a nice photo, they’re your calling card as a performer. It’s so important to show your range, because different roles call for completely different looks and energy.

Agents will always put forward the shot that best matches what a casting director is looking for. The CD casting a fun, upbeat fast food commercial is searching for something very different to a CD looking for talent for a gritty period drama and your headshots should reflect that versatility.

Friends, Julie and Jon, booked me for a double headshot session a few days ago.

Celebrant Julie, wanted some shots for her brand new website, advertising herself as a celebrant for weddings and funerals, along with a handful of headshots for supporting artist work and Jon, wanted some updated actor headshots showing a range of looks. The cast of Legally Blonde are taking to the stage tomorrow evening for their Opening Night performance and we cannot wait! 💕
