Some ideas sit in your head for weeks, waiting for the right moment to try them.

Saturday gave me that window.

I’ve been wanting to push more into double exposure and slow shutter work, creating images that feel a bit more layered, a bit more intentional, rather than just capturing what’s in front of me.

And then, typical, I left my ND filters at home.

So I improvised, grabbed a £1.50 pair of Temu sunglasses, and made it work.

These two shots are exactly why I enjoy that process. One built through motion and timing, the other through composition and control, both planned, both tested properly on the day.

Sometimes the best results come from having to think on your feet and just execute.

Saturday at Hazlewood Castle was truly unforgettable. Lou and Oliver's special day had it all: precious family moments, a touch of wind, and a dash of sunshine.

The highlight? We managed to catch 15 magical minutes of golden hour, despite it being March. The light was pure perfection, and we snapped some breathtaking shots - including some black-and-white gems and new ideas I've been eager to try (Stay tuned) 🫣🤭

Appreciation Post!

I’ve shot weddings for a long time now, and yes, we’re there to offer a service, and you will always get what you pay for.

But I wanted to put this out there…

As much as we’re there for you, how we’re treated on the day, as photographers or suppliers in general, makes a big difference to the energy and flow of everything.

Yesterday’s wedding with Mr & Mrs Kirk was, from a supplier’s perspective, perfect, potentially the wedding of 2026! 🤭

But if you’re a future bride or groom, none of this is ever expected, but it goes a long way:

- Feed us
- Give us cake and sweets (Instant Energy)
- A decent drink
- Thank you cards aren’t necessary, but they definitely hit 🥹

Do this, and I guarantee you’ll get EVERYTHING we have to give, and more.

What a gorgeous celebration! The sun was blazing, and the love was shining just as bright. We had an absolute blast scaling fences to get those perfect rustic shots in the fields, capturing that dreamy countryside vibe. And of course, we made sure to include Adam’s beloved pup in the photos—couldn’t leave out the star of the show! 🐶📸

The sun was shining, and the vibes were high at the stunning Bunny Hill venue! Tom and Harry, with their larger-than-life personalities, were definitely up for a laugh and a massive rave! We even seized the moment during our 45-minute photo session to commandeer a farmer’s ploughing tractor, making for a fantastic backdrop and some unforgettable shots of Tom swinging off the driver’s seat! 🚜📸

This one was a bit special — right on my doorstep in Leeds! The ceremony took place at the beautiful Civic Hall with a close-knit group of friends and family. Small in numbers, but big on love 💛

Then it was over to the Irish Centre where things really kicked off — live singers, Kate Polo, and the whole family bringing the energy all night long! 🎶💃🏽🍻

Everyone loves a wee doggo!!

A beautiful celebration of love at St John’s Church, surrounded by all their favourite people — and of course, their beloved pup who had to be front and centre in the photos 🐶📸 (non-negotiable!).

The day was filled with laughter, special moments… and one slightly misjudged champagne pop from Jordan that gave a few guests an unexpected shower 🍾😂

Celebrating Georgia and Josh’s gorgeous wedding at Blenheim House in Batley! The slightly overcast weather turned out to be perfect for capturing all the magical moments of the day. Spirits were high, and the entire celebration felt like one big party with friends and family.

Celebrating Hayley and Ash’s beautiful wedding at the Village Hotel in Cheadle! Even though the sun decided to take a little break, we absolutely embraced the cozy, rainy vibes and turned them into something magical.
