Evening everyone!

So on the list of To Do's this week was to finish curating my images for Docu magazine, a magazine that very much loves print! (Something I also love) Week one of going photography full time is well underway!

I have included 20 images from Drighlington to Wales and back again to Scotland. Every image included is special to me and resembles some of this beautiful country that I have seen this year.

To get yourself a copy please click this link:

Also included in the collection is this handsome chap from Wednesdays trip with kiddo!

PS. I also sell prints to order! If you see something you like do get in touch!

Skomer! A day that started off with beautiful sunshine and clear skies. We where off to see the Puffins!

As we got to the Wick we set ourselves about watching and imaging these gorgeous seabirds, Chops being in his element. I was set on some wider shots. I hammered my 85mm 🤣

After about half an hour the sky changed dramatically, clear skies replaced with a very visible storm rolling in on the horizon. A wall of rain was sailing past it seemed. We were most certainly wrong. Within 10 minutes the rain started with a bit of thunder and lightening. Progressing to small Hail and then a 15 minute onslaught of what I can only describe as a freakish (for the UK) hailstorm.

Large, fast and in huge numbers this hail battered us. Mrs Uncommited Photographer had to shield as much of chops as she could and I had to try and shield them both. the puffins even retreated after a hearty attempt to stay out of their burrows. The images included in this post are a sequence of weather events (as best I could capture them! The camera took quite the beating!)

For Chop's first time out in a thunderstorm he certainly managed to catch a doozy. The poor kid was beside himself. He is ok! It was quite the shock even for the adults among us!

I wanted to take a moment and really send my heartfelt thanks to staff and volunteers. The minute it was safe to move they took Chops and his mum (and everyone else) to the Farmhouse to get them dry, some new clothes and a biscuit. Something I know helped chops thoroughly. Although the storm ate a lot of our time on the island we still very much consider it such a special day. Next year we will most certainly return!

I absolutely love my little adventures with chops, the other day we where waiting for the barn owl just hanging out in a field and its honestly the best time sat with him. He asks a million questions and has always got one loaded 🤣

As the sun was setting our resident Barn Owl came gliding through the orchard making eye contact as he skimmed through the gaps in the trees. Hopefully creating another core memory for chops!

We are off to the one and only Skomer Island this morning and I don't think any of us (Mum included) could be more excited!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

The Foreman.

Early one morning last week we had the pleasure of seeing the two main residents of the Bucyrus Erie . I always see the resident Little Owls as the site Foreman of the old coal mine. He stands on the arm of the dragliner watching over the area with their very typical grumpy look. Almost bossy looking as they stomp along the ground looking for worms. This rather Yorkshire audio clip fit perfectly!

Such amazing owls and they are very active at the moment if you can get yourself down in the early morning or late evening.

The Bucyrus Erie is an apartment block for birds of prey, with Kestrels and Barn owls also calling themselves residents.

More on those another day though!

Have an awesome bank holiday weekend everyone!

Bluebells on a glorious morning last month. Had the pleasure of meeting .photography for a morning and managed to snag a few bluebell shots in this fully carpeted woodland.

I am pretty soon going to have so much more time to image and I am hyped for it. More on that soon !
