waiting for an osprey and thought I would share some tips on how to get good at wildlife photography. No slideshows, no settings just actionable habits to get you out there and get yourself better.

Enjoy! Happy wildlifing!

September is here, arguably the best month, autumn arrives and the weather turns cold. My favourite type of weather is cold.

I took this at the weekend at RSPB Bempton Cliffs ! A proper Bempton sunrise with that warm sun rising above the channel. Warming the remaining seabirds as they start their day. The most beautiful light landing on this preening juvenile Gannet.

Did you know a bunch of dense brained and archaic people run into gannet colonies deliberately killing gannet chicks? In the name of tradition? There’s a link in my bio for you to go put your name down pushing for the ban of this mindless hunt. I think we can all agree these beautiful seabirds deserve no such thing. If you request a Gannet chick print (through DM) Ā£5 of the profit will go to a good cause to help stop such mindless nonsense.

Taken in the Nikon Europe z8 with the 180-600 F6.3 resting on my forever wonderful 3 Legged Thing tripod

Anyway it’s my birthday at the end of the month. If you are going to get me a present I take size A4 or A3 Fotospeed NST Bright White paper.

Love Aaron.

As always the exif card is generated by the wonderful Photospec.

I am super hyped and pleased to announce Silver. The fruition of a summer long project with some barn owls local to me.

This is a limited run of 25 (24 now) where each set includes the three images.

I am super proud of these and love the feel of them. Not just an up close image of a barn owl, but a wider look at the environment they live in. The series is a really strong reminder of how much I love doing this and I really hope you all enjoy them too.

Available now, head to my website to take a look! (Link is in the bio!) please do give this a share!

Have an awesome weekend everyone!

I have a new printer! Despite it being the fanciest printer I have seen. I will be supplying one printed photo from any shoot booked between now and the end of September. This includes any dates that have a deposit on before the end of the year.

The prints will be printed on a very high quality paper with Ink that is made to last. Perfect for Christmas presents/shoots or Halloween!

Deposits are 50% of the booking value.

A bit of Landscape love for today, taken the other morning whilst out shooting. I really love the fact I can just get up and shoot now!

Another thing I wanted to announce was my printer celebration/push to 2000!

So the deal is. Reshare this post (make sure you are following ) and drop a comment on a print you would like to see!

I am going to let this run until Next Friday and do the draw on Friday evening! (On a live) winner gets their choice of prints posted and delivered to them as soon as possible!

Printing is really important to me, things don’t just live on a screen when you print and it is the final step in the process!

So to clarify:

1- reshare this post.
2- comment what you might like to see as a print.
3- make sure you are following.

This is open to everyone and anyone. As long as you don’t live somewhere mental.

The support so far this year has been incredible and I am very humbled to be able to even consider doing this as a full time gig.

Thank you all !

What a summer holiday that was for me and chops! we absolutely worshipped the owls this year and last week I got this at our local spot. A backlit Barnie in front of collapsed corrugated roofing which almost reminds me of a very cramped, tightly packed, intricate Ancient Chinese Hipped roofs. A barn owl determined to carry on, despite the collapse of the man made structures around it.

I absolutely love the wider scene roofs in shade making the Barnie pop with the sun kissing the back of the owl and flora in front.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Big week ahead for me!

Something a little different for Fridays post. I’m hoping to do lots more of these key images in the future as I am starting to grow quite fond of them.

Let me know what you think!
