Something heavily inspired by recent conversations and company. I like them even though I do think they are a little Garish myself. I throughly enjoyed doing this. Pushing myself and my editing capability.

Fair disclaimer this was not done in camera. This is an image taken and then processed in Lightroom. I have however picked up some tips at birdfair and will be giving it a go at Bempton next weekend!

Watching owls seems to be my favourite pastime, the effort it takes to get the chance to see them is incredibly worth it. Being able to show chops these magnificent birds is a real treat!

What a weekend! I think the first image really is my favourite memory of the trip, two boys making friends and exploring their cameras. Both increasingly more fascinated with the natural world! All of us coming together to show the younger generations the magic of the world.

Chops being chops having a brilliant time learning all the things, he was mesmerised by the bird ringing! The Wild x podcast gang with nothing but time and encouragement for him. He even got a quick 1 on 1 chat and lesson from !

The group twice the size it was last year, celebrating a group of like minded people who all absolutely love the natural world.

Truly a weekend to remember. Laughs all around and plenty of new info and friends made. An absolute pleasure meeting everyone I did and I am only more and more thankful to everyone that took the time to speak to Kiddo and praised his work! He loved meeting everyone!

A big heartfelt thanks to all the gang for welcoming my family into the group. Love you all!

Do you know why I love Owls so much?

Firstly, they are an absolute hoot to image.
Secondly, I love the shapes their wings make as the sharply turn low level through the air. You can see the wings micro adjusting and then drastically changing as they hone in on their prey.

This is definitely one of my favourites of late. Watching the owl make its way across the thistle and long grass as it works to feed some very hungry Owlets.

Plenty more to come from here. I have about 3000 photos to go through 😅

Last night was a pretty special night. Honoured to have seen some Long eared Owlets. Happily sleeping away in the early evening.
(This was taken at 840mm and cropped for my photographer friends)

Over the summer I plan on utilising as many of these lovely summer evenings as possible to take wonderful photos of anything. Last Light.

I like this Barn Owl Shot. It is way more in the direction I want to go as a wildlife photographer and its got that tad bit of drama.

I watched this Owl in particular hunt around me for a good 45minutes as the light diminished increasingly quickly. A nice couple of hours spent on a moor.

Just me, the grass and a Barn Owl taking in the last of the day.


I am off to meet some bloody awesome people this evening. Looking forward to getting some more shots!
