Ha 😂- one more follow now needed - just about to put this on about hitting 3000 followers and someone has just unfollowed me, to now make it 2999, probably my daughter Liv as she likes to do things like that 😂

I met Mina around 4 years ago at a Horsforth Brewery market, when I bought some of her Bon’s and was hooked. Since then I’ve done lots of markets with her and don’t think I know anyone who works harder, she’s now got her dream and opened a bricks and mortar cafe Cinnammmm over in Chapel Allerton (LS74NZ) around 10/15 mins from Horsforth) and in this eco climate a brave move.
Mina is lovely, her cafe is so good and she works hard not only at making her cafe the best it can be, but works on her product, making new bons for all occasions and experimenting with new flavours, alongside working another part time job.
Her cafe is going well, but costs going up, needs more, please, please support the small businesses, mega corps don’t need your money, us small businesses do.
Do the right thing and go to this cafe, I promise you, you won’t regret it 😊

This is one of my favourite photos and post it each year and it reminds me not to take my mental health for granted and to just be kind to people, it was taken by my daughter and just as I was going back to work after the ultimate low of depression, it is also one of my favourites, as the person photographed with me is an absolute gem… my beautiful wife and she helped me get through it.
I believe everything happens for a reason, sometimes it doesn’t seem like that, especially when you’re in it, at one point of my mental health in my darkest time around 2015
I couldn’t face anyone, didn’t want to see anyone it was the worst I’ve felt.
If you’d have told me then, that I’d be running my own business, talking to hundreds of people every week at markets, doing brand shoots and pet portraits and setting up meetings I wouldn’t have believed that was possible.
I now try and help as many people as I can, as kindness costs nothing and you don’t know peoples struggles and what they’re going through.
I’ve met some amazing people through my business,
a business that was set up at the start of my recovery, which might not have happened if I didn’t go through my breakdown.
I always have to watch out for triggers, but with the support of my family and friends and through the mindfulness of photography, I’ve not been back there since it happened.
There are a lot of kind people out there which you can forget…but it is so important to check in on each other, be mindful on how we are with each other and don’t always think that how we behave is how we are feeling!
Thanks for reading and be kind … Richard
You’re never too important to be kind

In the run up to Summer and especially as going to be seeing so many people at markets. I thought I’d be a good idea to introduce myself and repost my mission statement -
I’m Richard a photographer from Leeds. I have a beautiful wife called Danielle and my lovely grown up kids Elliot & Liv. I’m a music lover, gig goer and record collector, fan of Leeds united and Rhinos and I have lived in Leeds all my life.
I create photographic art prints of Leeds and Yorkshire. I love the whole process from the capture to the edit and then to speak to my customers about my work. The aim is for my photographic prints to evoke a memory from my customer that will give them a feeling of happiness and nostalgia. My belief is to make my work a fair price, so it is accessible to as many people as I can and feel so privileged to be able to share my passion, whilst making a living doing something I love.
I love chatting to people about my work, so please come and have a look and a chat at my upcoming markets.
This weekend I’m at , on Wednesday & a week on Saturday or check out my website, link in bio

New Leeds Cockpit print, always popular, on my website now and will be in the racks at this weekend
What was your best night spent here?
Still gutted this shut down way back in 2014 and all the Leeds arts fairs I do, the cockpit prints always give me the best conversations with other Leeds gig goers!
