Just a quick heads up regarding our USB situation. Our supplier is sending them out to us this week. We'll be sending them out to all our edited wedding couples early next week.

We're about to hit the road now, for a 4hr journey down to The Norfolk Broads for tomorrow's wedding. We'll be back briefly on Friday before we head back up the country for a wedding in Saltburn by the Sea at the weekend. Messages & emails will be answered as and when we get the chance over the next few days. Have a good end to the week everyone!
Adios for now.

Sat editing a wedding and the mind drifts. So many questions but the main ones right now:
I wonder how many sausages are buried in venues across the country right now? And what brand are we all using (Richmond/Walls/Asda 'Special' range)???
If you don't know what I'm on about, ask Google!

And now on to Sunday's wedding we go...

This is the new Mr & Mrs Winspear, married at 12pm at the absolutely stunning Sneaton Castle Whitby.

Having just about recouped from Saturdays' fantastic wedding, we were up at 5.30am and heading up to Whitby at 7am on Sunday morning, so we could be at the venue in time for bridal prep and get a lay of the land. We certainly felt the 'wow' factor as we drove in and up towards the castle.

We'd seen some of the guests at previous weddings, having covered one or two for family member in the past (yes 'Duck Pout Brodie', we're talking about you and Jamie...) and our bride, Katie, had seen us in action before.

A few things we learned from the day were:
Katie & Paul love their dogs more than they do people. Katie & Paul dressed their dogs in wedding attire. We've never had a dog dressed as a bride before Sunday.
Paul likes to buy random things and store them in other peoples garages. Paul likes online video games and has strong friendships with people he's met doing just that. He also has a strong bond with his university mates.
Katie loves her family and friends. Her dad is a tough man, but is very soft with his daughter. Katie planned the day to perfection, but during the day itself, she was as easy going as any bride we've seen.
Katie & Paul made the effort to come back out for photos after the meal, even though (in Katie's own words) she just 'wanted to get drunk now'. The photos were worth it and you only get that one opportunity to do it.
Katie & Paul DID NOT plan any kind of first dance. Paul decided to go rogue, like dance on his own, and pick Katie up for a few spins. And then he was back to dancing on his own.
During the dancing there was a lot of hair being thrown.

Overall an amazing, relaxed day in a stunning setting. Thank you both for choosing us to be a part of the day. We hope it was everything you wanted and more.

We're taking you back to Saturday now, and Mr & Mrs Child's wedding at the very picturesque Weddings at Oakwell Hall.

Katie & Connor (or Conner.... depending on what you remember about the cupcakes, too funny), you were absolutely fantastic. Considering the weather you both woke up to, you were still in good spirits and gave it everything.

The day was pretty much split in half, and anyone who's ever been married at Oakwell Hall will know, ceremonies are quite early in the day there. This is in part due to the museum aspect of the Hall and gardens being opened up to the public after lunchtime.
Unfortunatley, for the arrival of both parties and an 11am ceremony, the weather was at it's worst. But plough on we did and a lot of what we took initially we did indoors. Those lawn games and bouncy castle didn't look like they were ever going to be used.

In typical British fashion though, we hit 3pm and the sun was out, sunglasses were on and everyone came out for drinks in the courtyard. Our weather system is so unpredictable.

The bouncy castle was being used primarily by adults, more specifically 'Grandad'. The lawn games were in favour of everyone, and some keen would-be golfers.

The cupcake/sweet treat saga was awesome. 60 or so (lovely looking we might add) cupcakes with Connor's name spelt wrong on every one. All taken lightly by our groom and added to the story of a fantastic day.

Here's some previews from Mr & Mrs Child's amazing wedding at Oakwell Hall. If you'd like any photos of children removing from this post, please send us a message and we'll take them down for you no problem. Thank you for choosing us to photograph the day for you both and good luck with that pocket rocket of a son of yours!

If you're a supplier/want to use these photos, all we ask for is photo credits/tags. Thank you.

Yesterday we took a trip up to the stunning Sneaton Castle Whitby, to watch Katie & Paul become the new Mr & Mrs Winspear.

An unbelievable day in beautiful surroundings with gorgeous people.

2 weddings in two days and two brides called Katie. Confused the hell out of us! We're absolutely shattered, but it's been absolutely worth it. We can't believe we're saying this, but we're now prepping for our trip down to the Norfolk Broads and our upcoming wedding this Thursday.

Anyway, back to yesterday. Katie & Paul, thanks for a cracking day and for choosing us to photograph it all for you. We'll get a proper post our as soon as we can (inc. suppliers) but for now, here's a quick sneak peek of our newlyweds in front of the beautiful venue. What a backdrop that is.

Congratulations both of you. We'll be back with more ASAP.

Massive congrats to the new Mr & Mrs Child, married today at the beautiful hidden gem of a venue that is Weddings at Oakwell Hall.

To say the weather this morning was bad is an understatement, but in true British style, we had something resembling summer again this afternoon.

Here's a quick preview from their amazing day. We'll get a proper post out on Monday, along with the fantastic suppliers and bit of a lowdown of what we witnessed. We're currently charging the cameras again, ready for our trip up to Whitby tomorrow.

Congratulations once again guys. Fantastic couple!

This moment right here...
That final journey to becoming a newlywed. Nerves. Excitement. Raw emotion. There's not a feeling like it. All that planning and you're moments away from walking down the aisle.
Whether you're making that journey down a staircase, corridor, in a car or a VW Camper. Doesn't matter. Those feelings are just the same.

On another note, if you've ever seen us at a wedding, you'll see Rebecca wondering about occasionally with a huge battery powered light on a pole, with me directing her where to go (the only time I'm allowed to tell her what to do). Years ago we took the plunge to learn lighting techniques we still use to this day. Lighting techinques which has been a massive part of where we are now.
Well, after years of use, our main lighting gear has bit the dust. We're now investing in a brand new lighting system, new triggers, more powerful lighting (& some more subtle), softboxes, grids and more advanced ways of being able to control everything. Our newest triggers can now be used on an app on our phones, so we can change settings, power, zoom functions and have pre programmed 'go-to' configurations all available at the touch of an on-screen button. This will give us full control over our power output on all the lighting connected to our triggers and app.
We'd been using our old lighting gear for over 13 years. Now we're well and truly getting with the times!

It's really sad, but we're quite excited to bring this all to our weddings.
