My Summer as a family & wedding photographer!

Weddings, newborns, families, editing until my eyes hurt, school holidays, days out with my girls, suitcases that barely got unpacked before they were packed again, far too much coffee and approximately 284,726 photos taken. Wouldn’t change it for the world hunnies! ✌🏻

Summer in this job is always a bit wild. Trying to give everything to my families & couples while also making sure I don’t miss summer with my own little family.

And somehow… I did it. 🤍

The school bags are back out, the girls are back to school and normality resumes.

I absolutely love what I do and would do it all over again a million times but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I’m shattered.

Things I wish every mum knew before their newborn session…

You don’t need a sleepy baby. You don’t need a perfectly behaved sibling. And you definitely don’t need to know what you’re doing in front of the camera.

That’s my job.

Yours is just to turn up, cuddle your babies and let me take care of the rest. 🤍

Just a little reminder… your children do NOT need to behave for your photoshoot!

I photographed this gorgeous family again recently after a few years, simply because it was time to update all those family photos.

We headed to the forest and honestly, we just had fun. No expecting the kids to sit perfectly, smile at the camera or “perform”.

Run around. Explore. Cuddle. Be silly. Play with your babies.

That’s where the good stuff happens. The laughs, the little looks, the cuddles and all those gorgeous natural moments that actually feel like your family.

So please never worry that your children “won’t behave” for a photoshoot. They really don’t need to. Just come and have fun with them and leave the rest to me 🤍

A little honest review of my week!

The summer holiday juggle is JUGGLING! Trying to run a business, keep on top of editing, shoot gorgeous people, be present with my girls, get myself to the gym, eat relatively well and somewhere amongst all of that… apparently keep a house tidy?! Absolutely not hunnies.

I’ve actually had a bit of a funny week mentally. Being out of routine always gets to me more than I think it will, BUT I’ve also had some bloody lovely moments.

Gorgeous shoots, stunning weddings & summer bucket list adventures with my girls, delicious wedding food, newborn cuddles and plenty of moments behind my camera where I’ve thought OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS 📸

Some weeks you feel like you’re smashing it. Some weeks you’re just keeping the plates spinning.

This week was somehow both. 🤍

Anyway… here’s a little peek behind the camera and into the chaos x

But THIS look?! Just fricking cool. The whole shoot was such a vibe and I’m obsessed with how these turned out.
