I'm delighted to be part of this collective - 24 Photography - documented 1 January hour by hour.

My shot is the 8am one, although it was actually 3am in New York when I took it. Some really great work by the other photographers too.

See them all in Soho Square, London, until 19 March.

My carnival shot of Marvina Ese Newton is part of a new exhibition at Aire Place Studios opening on Friday 14 June.

There is an opening that day from 6:30pm until 9pm and then the galley is open each Friday until 19 July from 11am to 4pm.

I'm so happy that this street portrait of Marvina Newton has been chosen as a winning entry in this year's competition run by .

I've photographed Marvina several times, always unplanned and in a street setting. This shot was taken at the Leeds West Indian Carnival in August last year.

So pleased to get this recognition for my work.

Earlier this year, I had the privilege to tell the stories of a number of past and current residents of South Elmsall and the surrounding area through photographs, video, words and objects.

I'm giving a talk about the project at the South Elmsall Library on 29 November at 2pm. Admission is free, but you do need to book.
