Here are a couple of images taken last Saturday on the Kase Filters UK demo day at Padley gorge,
I had the privilege of using a set of Kase revolution magnetic circular filters for a few hours and even though I didn't get chance to use the Nd filters I certainly put the Cpl filter to the test.
I've been looking at changing systems and manufacture's for a year or so now ,the ease of the simple magnetic snap on and off coupled with the outstanding hydrophobic coating made the filters a breeze to use in the continual rain that day.
As you can see from the images the Cpl enhanced the colours and gave me total control over how much reflection I wanted in the image.
I can honestly say I will be purchasing Kase filters from now on.

Its not perfect as we had partial cloud at Ramshaw rocks but its my first capture of the Aurora so I'm happy.

A classic image of the lone tree at Buttermere lake, This along with Warnscale Bothy has been on my photography bucket list for many years now and I've always seemed to pass by or not got the time to stop. This all changed on a pre planned long weekend in the lakes with a fellow photographer, the morning was forecast clear but was always a change of cloud but this didn't materialize so I made the decision to try and capture a classic Simon sun star as it popped up over the side of the hill.

Fleetwith Pike was bathed in glorious sunlight minutes before the sun appeared so this made the image even more special.

Processing was difficult due to the high dynamic range of the direct sunlight and the foreground so I used 3 images blended to make the final image. I hope you like it.

My second bucket list photography location, Warnscale Bothy. I think it was worth the 2 hour hike up and down and the few days afterwards of swollen knees.
The Bothy has been on my photography bucket list for a few years now and when my friend and I planned a long weekend in the Lake District it just has to be on the list of locations.

After arriving nearly 2 hours before sunset we started the pre planned difficult hike up to the Bothy, passing Dubs Hut for a breather and a few images we finally arrived at the Warnscale Bothy just before sunset and started scouting for compositions.

At this time of the year the sun sets very early behind the mountains(Haystacks) to the left so the classic image of the sunset over Buttermere lake was never on the cards but I think the side light on Fleetwith pike makes for a pleasing image.

Anyway it was a fantastic evening and made the hike down so much more easy.
