The Kilkenny Hurling Statue, a monument dedicated to the sport of hurling in Kilkenny, Ireland.

The statue is located at Canal Square in Kilkenny city center.

It depicts three hurlers in action, wearing the black and amber jerseys of the Kilkenny team, reaching for a sliotar (the ball used in hurling).

Crafted from locally sourced Kilkenny Limestone, the statue was sculpted by Barry Wrafter and unveiled in May 2016.

It serves as a tribute to the rich heritage of hurling in Kilkenny and celebrates the county's success in the sport, which holds a significant place in the community.

This early Christian monastic settlement was founded in the 6th century by St Kevin.

The most prominent feature is the Round Tower, standing at 30 meters high, part of a group of monastic buildings near the Glendalough lakes.

Glendalough is located in a stunning glacial valley within the Wicklow Mountains National Park, known for its scenic beauty and walking trails.

It became one of the most significant religious and learning centers in early Christian Europe.
