As soon as Abi & Ali booked me, I knew their wedding was going to be an epic one.

After months of looking forward to it, their day absolutely delivered. It was full of energy, emotion and so many unforgettable moments that I’m excited to share over the coming weeks.

A huge congratulations to you both, and thank you for trusting me to capture such an incredible day.

This wedding will always have a special place in my heart too, as it was my 100th wedding captured as Picture Essence Photography. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to celebrate that milestone with.

Today is Abi & Ali’s wedding day! ✨

Before the celebrations begin, I had to share a few favourites from their pre-wedding shoot.

As huge Dungeons & Dragons fans, Abi and Ali chose to step into the world they’ve built together, bringing their adventurers to life for a shoot that was completely unique to them. Watching them immerse themselves in every detail was such a joy and it made for some truly unforgettable photographs!

The best part? These images aren’t just for the engagement gallery... they’ve got a special role to play in today’s celebrations too. 🤫

I genuinely cannot wait to photograph their wedding. They’ve planned so many personal touches and creative surprises, some things I’ve never seen incorporated into a wedding before… and knowing them, every detail will be thoughtful, meaningful and completely their own ✨

A relaxed celebration filled with colour, sunshine, great energy and so much genuine love from every single person there. From start to finish, the atmosphere felt effortless in the best way; everyone completely present, celebrating Emma & Tom exactly as they are.

Wedding Party Appreciation 🙌🏼✨

Out of everybody attending your wedding, these are the people you personally chose to stand beside you on one of the biggest days of your life and honestly, some of the proudest and happiest people in the room are usually your bridesmaids and groomsmen.

As a wedding photographer, I see so much more than just the couple throughout the day. I see the people calming nerves in the morning, fixing dresses and ties, making everyone laugh, checking you’ve eaten, keeping the energy high and making sure you’re actually enjoying every second.

9 times out of 10, your wedding party are the people keeping everything together behind the scenes 🤍

They WANT to be there for you.
They WANT to support you.
And they genuinely care about making your day as special and stress-free as possible.

Honestly, they deserve so much more appreciation for everything they do throughout the planning process and on the wedding day itself ✨

One thing I’ll always be grateful for…

the trust my couples place in me, not just to photograph their wedding day, but to be part of such a huge chapter in their lives. Because I only take on around 30 weddings a year, it means I’m able to properly prioritise each couple throughout the entire experience.

I feel incredibly lucky that every couple I work with genuinely becomes a favourite in their own way 🥹

Over that time, there are so many check-ins, planning chats, timeline advice, little questions and moments of reassurance along the way that by the time the wedding day arrives, it never feels like I’m turning up as a stranger with a camera!

Couples often tell me how comfortable they feel and I honestly think that comes from genuinely taking the time to get to know them and support them throughout the process in a way that feels personal to them. 🫶🏼

So if you’ve been thinking about booking me for a while, know that whilst capturing your day in a natural and honest way will always be at the heart of what I do, creating an experience where you feel genuinely supported throughout the entire process matters just as much to me. ✨

From the first conversation through to delivering your gallery, I want every couple to feel looked after, understood and completely able to enjoy the day they’ve spent so long planning.

Bianca and Dan at The Glade ✨🌳

I was so happy to share a few sneak previews with these two this week, one whole week after their beautiful wedding day.

It was such an intimate, relaxed celebration filled with thoughtful touches, so much love, and all of their favourite people 🫶🏼

Weddings at The Glade always feel incredibly special because it’s one of those venues that couples can truly make their own, and Bianca and Dan did exactly that. The outdoor woodland setting was just perfect and as someone who will forever be a sucker for an outdoor wedding surrounded by nature, this one was a dream to photograph!

And a little backstory that still makes me smile… I actually met Bianca and Dan when I hired them to help move my kitchen table😅 Somewhere between carrying furniture and chatting away, they told me about their wedding plans and I remember instantly thinking how personal and meaningful their day was going to be. So when Bianca and Dan later asked me to photograph it, it genuinely felt really special 🤍

After being part of the lead-up and communicating with them for so long, seeing them finally get married was such an emotional and joyful thing to witness. I can’t wait to dive back into editing the rest of their gallery and sharing their story of such a beautiful day ✨

Some wonderful news to share… ✨

Yesterday I was invited to step in and exhibit at The Glades beautiful open day taking place tomorrow?! 🤩 I’m honestly so excited and grateful for the opportunity!

I absolutely loved photographing a wedding there last week (with photos being shared later today 👀). It’s such a stunning venue, and hearing such lovely feedback from the team about seeing me in action and the way I approach photographing a wedding honestly means so much. 🙏🏼

Being trusted to support both my couples and the venue in this way is something I never take for granted, and I’m so excited to meet more lovely couples who are planning their weddings at The Glade and share the beautiful day I captured there last week.

The best part of your wedding day might just be the 10 quiet minutes nobody plans for…

When the formalities are over and the energy starts to soften, I always encourage my couples to step away together for a moment.

No posing. No pressure.

Just space to breathe it all in, watch the sunset, and actually feel the fact that you’re finally married.

Jordan & Brandon completely embraced that moment. They were relaxed, present, and entirely themselves together and those always end up being some of my favourite images from the day.

It’s been such a pleasure capturing their wedding and I’m so happy to have finally sent their gallery over this week 🤍
