N E R V E S

I know and understand that being in front of a camera can make you feel vulnerable and even more so if you’re not wearing a whole lot. I REALLY do get that - it’s one of the reasons I’ve taken self portraits! And trust me, self portraits are HARD - I don’t have someone to tell me how to adjust my position or pose, to make me laugh and/or to remind me to relax my shoulders or face! (I get so many photos of myself, looking like I’m trying to work out some really hard math.)

I don’t have any expectations of you to know how to pose - that’s totally on me to guide you through everything - and I’m very relaxed and chatty and you’ll be so busy concentrating on what you’re meant to be doing, that any nerves you might have will disappear in the first few minutes! And I’m not just saying that - I promise! - all of my Glow clients have told me that they totally forgot they were nervous.

So…after reading that, how are you feeling about getting your very own Glow photos?!

Photo of absolutely gorgeous Charlotte - don’t you just LOVE her amazing red hair!

P.S. ALL of the photos I share on here are only ever shared with permission from my clients.

So what is Glow?!

Glow is an experience that’s uplifting and empowering. I want to create images that could be art – images that are beautiful, intimate and expressive with a hint of sass, fun and sensuality. I love the idea of creating images that are thought-provoking and really express who each woman is as a person. The aim is to have a fun experience, create beautiful photos that each woman will be proud of. I want every woman to walk away from the shoot feeling phenomenal, feeling confident and empowered by the experience.

There are no rules, you can wear as little or as much as you like. We can shoot at a studio, at home, a hotel or other indoor space or we could shoot in the middle of a wood, a field, at the beach or even on top of a mountain! We can use props, smoke bombs, balloons, confetti, flowers or just keep it simple and it just be you and me and my camera. You can have one outfit or multiple. I’m keen just to hang out, have fun and capture stunning images of you!

Hello Friends! For my very first post I thought I’d introduce myself and show you my very own Glow photo! So hi! I’m Megan, I’m a photographer and I love making women feel confident and empowered by capturing amazing images that celebrate each woman’s unique beauty.

I want women to see the beauty others see in them, I want them not just to feel beautiful but really experience it. This is what Glow is about for me. I want to empower women and help them see how beautiful and incredible each woman is, regardless of what flaws she might see in herself.

Most women have at least one thing she doesn’t like about herself, including me. Some women are better at embracing their perceived flaws but most women really struggle to see how beautiful they are. Society creates all these guidelines about what is considered ‘beautiful’ but we are all beautiful regardless of size, colour, lumps, bumps, weight and/or height! We have the freedom to be who we are right now, exactly as we are and we’re allowed to (and should give ourselves permission to!) love and celebrate our bodies, our minds and who we are as women.

This is a self portrait that I took after fabulous Sarah Rock n Roller Hair did my hair. Initially I just loved the way my hair looked and just wanted to take some nice photos for Sarah’s portfolio but after I took a few photos, I started playing around with the light and the results made me feel glowy! 😂 (yeah I know that’s not a word but meh! It works!) I know that might sound big headed but like so many people I work with, I don’t often really love photos of myself but I love how it makes me feel looking at this photo and some of the others that I took that day. I felt beautiful and I felt like I gave myself permission to feel that way which was really liberating!

Want some Glow photos of your very own?! Drop me a message! Or maybe you’re keen but a little apprehensive? Tell me in the comments what’s holding you back!
