Family portraits outdoors? You don’t need to know how to pose ❤️

One of the things I hear most often before a family photoshoot is: “But we’re really not very good at having our photo taken!”

And honestly? That’s absolutely fine.

When we’re outdoors, I don’t want your family standing in a line, looking at the camera and feeling awkward. Instead, I like to keep things relaxed and natural.

I might get you to walk together, hold hands, cuddle up, play, explore or simply sit and enjoy being together.

I’ll gently guide you when I need to, but most of the time I’m looking for those lovely little moments that happen naturally.

The giggles.
The cuddles.
The cheeky smiles.
The way your little one reaches for your hand.

That’s the magic of family photography for me 🥰

You don’t need to be a model.
You don’t need to know what to do.
And you certainly don’t need to worry about getting everyone to behave perfectly! 😉

I’ll take care of that part.

My job is to put you at ease and create beautiful images that capture your family as you really are.

Is the summer holiday making your business marketing feel a little… well, impossible? ☀️

If you’re a business owner with children, the summer holidays can turn your carefully planned routine upside down.

Suddenly you’re juggling:

☀️ Keeping the children entertained
☀️ Working around holidays and days out
☀️ Trying to keep up with clients

I have taken a break recently to concentrate on making the most of my seven year old actually wanting to spend time with me over the holidays… having an older (now adult) son I know only too well how how soon the time will come where he won’t want to enjoy my company quite so much!! 💖

But you are allowed to slow down a little. ❤️

I genuinely can’t imagine not being a photographer.

For me, photography has never been just about taking pictures.

It’s about noticing the little things.

🩵The quiet confidence in someone’s smile.
🩵The connection between family members.
🩵The passion that shines through when someone talks about their business.

Photography encourages me to slow down and really see what’s in front of me.

One moment I’m capturing the story of a wonderful local business owner, helping them feel confident and visible in their marketing. The next, I’m photographing a family creating memories they’ll treasure for years to come.

And I feel incredibly lucky that this is what I get to do every day.

What I enjoy most isn’t simply creating beautiful photographs, it’s helping people see themselves and their businesses in a new light.

Watching someone relax, gain confidence and say, “I actually love those!” will never get old.

Thank you to every client who trusts me to tell their story through my lens.

It truly is a privilege, and I love every minute of it. ❤️

There’s something about Cornwall that makes you want to slow down…

To breathe a little deeper.
To leave the phone in your pocket.
To get outside and simply enjoy where you are.
