Glowing flower meadows last week - close to Thwaite, looking up towards Angram in Swaledale 🌼

I was busy admiring the view when this scruffy-looking Swaledale sheep decided to photo bomb me and steal the show 😄 She should be getting her annual haircut soon! ✂

Muker Meadows looking rather lovely last night 🌼💛💚

I had a particular shot in mind, but there was one problem... I'm not 12 feet tall! Sometimes it's about being in the right place at the right time, and sometimes it's about bringing a flying camera because you're quite short 😆

I wanted to look over the wall and include the barn, the gate, and the path leading through the meadow, so it had to be the drone.

After waiting a while, I was rewarded with a few seconds of lovely evening light and... boom!

Although I'm still not entirely sure I've nailed it. What do you think?

It’s been absolutely SCORTHIO across the UK today 🔥🌞

Meanwhile, I was standing in my back garden in my PJs at stupid o’clock this morning, flying the drone while Wensleydale was still cool and quiet 🌅

Worth it though. The light just after sunrise was beautiful before the heat haze and Bank Holiday madness kicked in 😅

Bluebells and lambs — it doesn’t get much better than this time of year in the Dales 💜

I always forget just how quickly this season appears… and disappears again 👀 One minute, it’s bare trees, the next, everything is bright green, new life and flowers are popping up! 🐑🌸

These images were taken at the weekend when I took a beautiful wander along to Hartlakes in Swaledale.

Swaledale mums: the true definition of patience? 🙌

Thanks for sticking around while I’ve been a bit quiet on here - life gets busy at times 😅 I’ve still been out and about with the camera (mostly photographing sheep, obviously 🐑).

Just finished a lovely commission I’ll share more soon, and calendars are ready too - please message me if you’d like to preorder before they go on the website.

Happy Easter Sunday 🌼🐑 It’s been a little while since I last posted - lots going on behind the scenes over the past few weeks.

Many of you helped me choose the images for my 2027 calendar, so thank you again - it’s now finished and will be on sale soon 🙌

And in the middle of all that, something rather lovely happened…

Living North Magazine got in touch and asked to feature a set of my spring images from around the Yorkshire Dales. They’ve just published a spread called “Green and Present”, along with a short piece about how I got into photography.

So it felt like the perfect moment to share the images they chose 🌿 Especially after Storm Dave raged last night - that was a wild one! 😬

Winter in the Yorkshire Dales ❄️ After months of a grey and wet winter, the last few days have finally felt like spring 🌞

But this is the Dales, and winter never slips away without a bit of a fight. There was snow back on the hilltops this morning, and the sheep photo at the end was taken earlier today on Oxnop Moor in Swaledale 🐑

A fitting moment to choose the winter images! Which of these says December, January and February in the Dales to you? 🥶

t was misty here in Wensleydale this morning – the sort of conditions that reminded me of the Yorkshire Dales in autumn 🍂

So, a perfect day to look ahead to autumn for my 2027 calendar. From golden trees to those first dustings of snow on the hills - which ones would you choose for September, October and November?
