So its all been a bit depressing over the last 5 or 6 months down on Choppers Patch. Totally flooded, crops left in the ground to rot. Tide seems to have now gone out, but we are left with something resembling Frampton Marsh!!
Going to be several weeks before anything can go into the ground.
In the meantime, I've been topping up the paths and fruit cage with bark chippings.
Fruit and veg prices are going to go through the roof for sure, as there will be shortages in the supermarkets..

A bit of tidying up in the polytunnel today whilst listening to TMS and England winning against the Aussies as the rain ...

A bit of tidying up in the polytunnel today whilst listening to TMS and England winning against the Aussies as the rain fell yet again outside....
Tomatoes are still green, so removed a few leaves. Cucumbers doing well as I picked another 3. Peppers and Aubergine doing nicely as well. Grapes are bulking up.

After 6 weeks away, old Choppers Patch was a little overgrown, although I must thank my "neighbour " Steve for watering, feeding etc and good friend Carol picking and freezing some of the fruit.
Had a good go at putting it back into some kind of shape today.😊

Cracking 5 hours down at the allotment today.Still nothing planted in polytunnel yet though. That's tomorrow's job.

Groundsheet taken off this large bed today and dug over in preparation for a right mix of stuff which is currently growing in the polytunnel.
Just the top bed to sort now, which is where butternut squash and pumpkins will be grown.
Really coming together now.
