This is the first social media post I've ever written so bear with me.

So I thought I'd start this off with a quick intro. My name is Olly, and for the past few days I have been doing work experience with Natural Aspect.

One of the main things I have learnt is that It's who you know, not what you know.

While I attended my first networking event yesterday I talked about what I would like to do in the future. Two people on my table revealed that they knew others within Rolls-Royce, where I would like to have a job in the future. They came back to me that same night with advice from their connections at Rolls-Royce which meant a lot to me as a 14 year old work experience student.

What a month it has been!

As I write this post I'm in the garden, enjoying the sunshine and I'm taking some time to reflect on what a busy and rewarding few weeks it’s been at Natural Aspect.

Another photographer sent a client (their friend) to spy on me!

Yes, this actually happened. The client came for a session with me and then reported back to the other photographer.

Instead of connecting, introducing themselves and grabbing a coffee with me they sent their friend to spy on how I run my business.

I was shocked but also highly amused because I am pretty open when it comes to linking with other creatives.

We may be seen as "competitors" but I don't really see it that way.
