Hope everyone is having a lovely bank holiday! Apologies for the radio silence as of late. I've been settling into a new job the last couple of weeks as things are quiet on the media scene for the time being.

I've been enjoying a day off today despite the rain, although the trek up Steep Hill took it out of me as it has only been my second time going back uphill since moving down in August 😅 I really enjoyed seeing all the sites that used to be on my daily routes 🙂

Thought I would shine the spotlight on one of the most talented and hardworking people in Lincoln! 👨‍🍳

This is Leon, currently the chef at The Pessimist Gin & Wine Bar and he is an absolute wizard in the kitchen. I have known him for many years and have worked with him across multiple venues, seeing him grow so much. Not only crafting fantastic and ridiculous food, but also bringing such a funny, joyful and kind personality everywhere he has worked, taking time to connect with the people he serves too.

Incrediblely proud to call him one of my best friends and humbled to have called him a colleague on more than one occasion. Recently, he just launched a new à la carte menu, so pop in, say hello and give it a go. I highly recommend it!

Always love it when I get the chance to do a photoshoot in a great bar as I get to work with my two biggest passions and combine them together.

Currently, for the first time, I am "out of office" until next week. I know for a lot, the story for this new chapter has only just started, but for myself working away behind the scenes, it has been months. So, I am heading back to the homeland for a few days to see family.

Thankfully, I have a few bits of content scheduled while I am away. Unfortunately, it means I will be very sparse with replying to enquiries until I get back, as I find it difficult to switch off completely 😅

Until then, I am gonna have one more pint. Hopefully, have a safe flight and see you all in a few days!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has shown support since my last post. Whether you have been here since the very beginning or are only now joining in this next chapter. All of your likes, follows, shares, comments and messages over the past week have meant so much and the positivity is overwhelming 🧡

Today I have been in my studio getting it set up more efficiently, taking stock of all my equipment and inventory. Also, getting a temporary desk up and running, so I can actually work from here properly now. I can't wait to get it finished and show you all!

2025. It's a new year, so it felt like the perfect time to officially start the next chapter in this little venture I have been doing for a few years now.

My main interest has always been video work. From a young age, I made short videos and films and threw them up on YouTube to a decent following. I studied media production in both college and university, moving to film production when the time came to focus on a major. Then, beyond that, after graduating, creating some awesome stuff for amazing companies.

When I set up this page I had some opportunities to create and work on some cool video projects. Sadly, then everything shut down due to a global pandemic and, like most of the world, I had no choice but to stay still. Once the world started to get moving though I was back working in hospitality full-time to earn money so I could pay rent, buy food etc. My skills as a videographer were not needed but people around me were looking for someone with photography & social media skills to help reinvest interest into their businesses and ventures. Thankfully, these were two things I studied and had hands-on experience in too. Photography runs in the family and is a hobby, something I did a lot during the pandemic. Social media was normally a responsibility I would volunteer to take on with the company I was working with as a full-time job. So, the majority of the time I have been active, video took the back seat in favor of photos and social media work. I knew if I was ever going to come back to this stuff I needed a "rebrand" that would reflect my services better.

This takes us to NOW.

Originally from Derry, Ireland, I moved over here in 2015 to study media production and, after graduating, stayed. I offer a wide range of skills in these fields of media and I am available to hire. Not long back from a recent wee trip to the homeland. Not to my part of the country this time though (hopefully sometime soon). This time, I travelled over with a good friend of mine and spent some time in the east part of Dublin around the lovely village of 'Howth' 🇮🇪

While we didn't spend long there at all, it was the perfect place to breathe in some fresh sea air (drink lots of Guinness) and get Lincoln out of my lungs after a tiring couple of weeks mentally and physically. Right, back to it 💪
