Abandoned theatre & bingo hall , England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 explored with Nellyd - Urbex

Operating as a theatre for just three years, this venue has preserved many original features thanks to over forty years of cinema use and thirty years of bingo. Built in 1915, this venue is a unique transitional theatre from the Edwardian boom to the post-1909 cinema surge. Its design showcases the blend of variety theatre and silent film, capturing a key moment in entertainment history. Closed down in 2009 and it awaits investment for redevelopment.

Mr Paynes abandoned house , England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 explored with Nellyd - Urbex

An antiquated, dilapidated, and overgrown residence nestled within a nice village in the countryside stands as a relic of its former glory. Once the abode of an elderly gentleman, the circumstances surrounding his departure remain a mystery. Observing the precarious state of the cellar, it seems evident that the house had become unsuitable for habitation. It is likely that, in the future, the property will be cleared and sold; with some contemporary updates and renovations, it could once again transform into a lovely home.

I've just uploaded a new video on my YouTube channel, showcasing this time capsule bungalow as the rain pours down. While I'm uncertain about the bungalow's history, it seems to have functioned as a communal living space or perhaps as the residence of an elderly couple. Also a Subaru Justy parked in the driveway, which, regrettably, failed its MOT back in 2008.

Abandoned candlestick cottage , England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Nestled along a lengthy country lane lies a derelict dairy farm that was once a thriving family-run establishment. It is difficult to ascertain exactly how long it has been abandoned, but the interior is in a dire state, with floors and roofs beginning to deteriorate. The farm earned its nickname, “The Candlestick,” from the first explorer who stumbled upon it; however, much like the candlesticks themselves, those days of vibrancy have vanished. It remains uncertain what the future holds for this site, but it seems likely that it will eventually be demolished, as the condition of the interior is far beyond repair.

Abandoned quarry , England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 explored with Nellyd - Urbex

An abandoned limestone quarry nestled in the countryside, where operations commenced in 1868, ceased around 2008. Unfortunately, there is limited information available online regarding its history. The journey to access this site was quite challenging, with moments of hesitation about whether to proceed; however, we are pleased we persevered, as it turned out to be an incredible exploration. We were fortunate to witness a remarkable industrial site, effectively frozen in time.

Abandoned meat house farm , Herefordshire 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Once the residence of an award-winning farmer who farmed the land for more than 50 years, this property has a poignant history. The farmer passed away in 2002, followed closely by the death of his wife. Since then, the farm has been left to languish in neglect for over 21 years. The presence of decaying meat, which resembles old sides of pork belly coated in tar, is quite puzzling, as it has been left to rot around the house. Tragically, in early 2026, the farm succumbed to a devastating fire, leaving behind only a charred shell of its former self.

I've just uploaded a new video on my YouTube channel. Featuring an intact old time capsule ROC post , preserved as it was after the Cold War in the 1990s. It's pretty rare to come across one in this condition since most have been destroyed.

Abandoned morgue , Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
Explored with Nellyd - Urbex

Nestled within the dense overgrowth of an old cemetery, there stands an old red brick building, a relic from 1939. Originally constructed as an overflow facility for the former memorial hospital, it saw its last use during the Second World War in 1943 for the victims of an RAF bomber crash. This quaint building comprises just two rooms, which explains the similarity in some of the photographs captured.

Abandoned DAF car house , England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

An old red brick house located along a tranquil country lane. I explored this site a few years ago and had the opportunity to revisit while passing through the area. Unfortunately, it is now in significantly worse condition, with two upstairs rooms having collapsed. While I am not certain of its history, it appears to have been abandoned for quite some time, potentially since the 1970s or 1980s. The vintage DAF car remains on the premises, patiently awaiting rescue. I have never encountered a vehicle quite like it, and I sincerely hope it is salvaged one day and repainted in a more appealing colour.

Tonight's YouTube video features an abandoned pub situated in the moors of the Peak District. During our return from another exploration, we opted to investigate this fascinating establishment. The pub’s history traces back to the 1800s, originally functioning as a coaching inn strategically located between two towns. It has been reported that the pub ceased operations in 2023.
