Photos for me, and me only… 📸
I took some time recently to break the pattern, take the Fujifilm X100VI out for a spin and just enjoy photography again.
No editing. No overthinking. Just the in camera film simulations, with Acros B&W being the recipe of choice. (Yes, straight out of camera to a degree!)
I’m trying hard to make a pact with myself to upload more here, because otherwise I’m just shooting for everyone but me. I’ve had some fantastic events this year and I really need to start sharing them.
The harder part is learning to say no. There have been some amazing opportunities this year that I’d normally jump at, but sometimes I need to keep some time for myself. It’s bloody difficult when you genuinely love what you do, but I know I need to.
It’s very easy to become robotic, constantly churning out content, planning events and ticking boxes. I don’t want to lose the bit of photography that made me fall in love with it.
Hey, one day I’ll learn. 😂
For now, here’s the ever impressive Ely Cathedral, waiting for that beautiful light to pour through the stained glass windows.
Sometimes, it’s nice to just pick up a camera and take photos because you want to.
