Yesterday I was at the KHAC monthly 5k race building my sport photography portfilio. Something a little different for Cass Ann Photography but since doing my first sprint triathlon back in may I've really wanted to expand my photography to include sport photography as well as pets.

I know I have already introduced you all to Skye but I wanted to give these 2 photos their own post.

Due to her age Skye had some mobility issues and was a bit unsteady on her feet, although this didn't stop her playing with her ball and trying to chase it all session. The location was at the bottom of a hill and after the session Skye was quite tired and found it difficult to walk back up the hill so her mam and dad took turns carrying her up the hill. I hadn't put my camera away yet so I quickly took a couple photos and I think there some of my favourites from the shoot. They really show how loved Skye was and how much she trusted Elle and Chris ❤️

I find it so hard to caption these posts so I’ve found it’s better to let the dogs owners tell you a bit about their beloved Pet.

'For almost 15 years, Sky wasn't just my dog; she was my best friend, my soul mate, and my unwavering companion. A piece of my heart went with her when we said goodbye, leaving me with cherished memories and a profound sense of gratitude for our time together.’

A few weeks ago I met the beautiful Skye on a rainbow shoot, unfortunately Skye crossed rainbow bringe the next day. It was clear to see from my short interacton with her what a beautiful girl she was and how loved she was. ❤️

Bonnie-blue 💙

Cannot believe I’m only just getting around to showing you all the beautiful Bonnie! I photograhed Bonnie on one of my rainbow sessions, for those that dont know Rainbow Sessions are a free session I offer for pets who don't have much time left with us.

"Bonnie has been the light of our lives for 12 years through the best and worst of times. She's my greatest companion, the children’s best protector, everyones best friend and our constant source of fun, adventure and pure happiness. Her crazy energy, cute waggily tail and enthusiasm for life are super special."

Earler this year Bonnie was diagnosed with Cancer and has been undergoing treatment, I loved meeting Bonnie (and her humans) and I’m so happy I could capture some beautiful memories for them ❤️

Photographing dog and handler teams has got to be one of my favourite things about being a pet photographer. As someone who participates in dog sports themselves I have such an admiration for the work and dedication that goes into dog training!

Lolly and Donna are training in IGP and currently working towards their first trial together.

This lovely lot is Dean (black lab), cain (yellow lab) and Copper (spaniel) and they’re all working gun dogs.

When I photograph your pets I really try to capture their personalities in the photos I take; their funny little quirks and silly moments make for the perfect memories!

Ickle Pickle British Shorthairs 🐱

Hey everyone I know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from me, sorry 🙈. I took a few months off photography over the winter months, buisness always tends to be slower those months and it gave me time to focus on a few other things, but I’m back now and can’t wait to get out with my camera again! 😀
