Always chasing sunsets… and restaurants with the best food and views too!

There’s something so special about taking yourself out for dinner, finding a beautiful table, ordering exactly what you fancy and being present in the moment.

This at overlooking the breathtaking Cardiff Bay, is one I’ll always remember. The Salmon was incredible, a very generous serving with flavours that worked so well together. And the view was just perfect!

Thank you for such a wonderful meal, fantastic service and an unforgettable view.

If you’ve ever thought “I’d love to go there, but I’ve got no one to go with” - take this as your sign. Go anyway 🌅

Solo dates aren’t about being alone. They’re about realising you’re fab company too - they are liberating, empowering and a little bit addictive too 🥂

A Sunday night delight which is inside the beautiful

We were invited along to for an exclusive evening of spa time, food, fizz and plenty of relaxation.

It was such a therapeutic way to finish the weekend and get ready for the week ahead. We enjoyed the thermal facilities, including the 30°C pool, whirlpool bath, sauna, rainforest steam room and sea salt steam room.

I loved the whole look and feel of the spa, especially the gorgeous shimmering mosaic tiles around the pool and whirlpool bath. Totally my style!

And yes, I even managed to swim without a float for the first time in a long time! It wasn’t exactly Olympic standard and anyone watching might question whether I can call it swimming, but I got from A to B, so I’m counting it! This shows how relaxed I felt.

I’ve had treatments here before and the massages are some of the most powerful I’ve ever had. When they ask what pressure you like and you say firm, believe me, they deliver! It was bliss.

We also had some fantastic food. The burgers were absolutely delicious and the sandwiches were the perfect bite before heading into the spa.

I’ve stayed at the before, and the spacious, luxurious rooms make it a lovely option if you fancy turning your spa visit into a little city break.

I think this could easily become my new Sunday night ritual. A couple of hours of swimming, sauna, steam room, whirlpool bath time, good food and peace and quiet. I went home feeling very relaxed and very zen.

I’d definitely recommend giving a try. A lovely way to switch off and reset. So save this post and add it to your list of things to do.

A massive thank you to and the team for inviting us along and looking after us so well. It really was the perfect Sunday surprise and I felt like a princess!

I was so excited to be invited to take a festive journey through from the Lantern Room, through the Moriarty Room and Tasting Room, and finally down into the - and what a journey it was.

The Art School is very special to me. It was where I had my very first fine dining experience and I fell in love instantly.

We began with Henners English sparkling wine, exploring the beautifully decorated Lantern Room before enjoying chef’s snacks, canapés, Art School bread and the most adorable and ridiculously tasty pork pie, presented as a little pig.

Then came the twice-baked smoked haddock and Lancashire cheese soufflé, light, beautifully textured and packed with flavour.

Every course was paired with a wine chosen to complement the dish, making the whole experience feel even more thoughtful and considered.

From there, we moved into the intimate Moriarty Room, one of my favourite spaces, where we were lucky to share our table with Paul Askew. It was such an honour to chat with Paul about his life, food, hospitality and passions.

Next was the beautifully cooked red deer venison with cavolo nero, Hasselback potato, butternut squash, damson and juniper jus. It was rich, comforting and wonderfully festive, with an outstanding combination of flavours.

Then downstairs to the Tasting Room for festive desserts and Chef Askew’s British cheeses, before finishing in with Santa’s Workshop, festive cocktails and a very fun mixology class.

From the stunning building, unique rooms, warm hospitality, impeccable service, atmosphere and thoughtful details - the whole experience feels like a luxurious journey.

The Lantern Room, Moriarty Room, Cellars Bar and private Tasting Room are all available for Christmas celebrations, so if you’re thinking of booking, don’t leave it too late.

A huge thank you to and the whole team for such a wonderful evening and for giving us a taste of Le Treizième Noël.

If you’re looking for somewhere truly special this Christmas, add to your list.

“Grab a mate, grab a mic… let loose and embrace the chaos!” 🎤😂

Karen’s Karaoke was fun, chaotic, loud and completely bonkers! 🎉

The atmosphere reminded me of Bongo’s Bingo, but with a karaoke twist.

Everyone was having a fab time, and we met some lovely new people too, which is always a win! ❤️

It’s definitely one of those nights where you need to get involved, grab the mic and embrace the madness.

If you like your nights out a little bit nuts, this could definitely be the one for you!

We had a laugh and I certainly won’t forget it anytime soon!

Thanks so much for to for inviting us along 🎤❤️

There’s something so special about spending time with my little dad, enjoying good food and making memories together, especially somewhere that has become such a special place to us over the years. ❤️

Thank you so much to The Watering Can Liverpool for another fantastic morning.

We tried some of the newer breakfast dishes and I stepped outside my comfort zone with the smoked salmon, whipped goat’s cheese, beetroot, watermelon and mango on toasted sourdough. I’d never normally order it, but I’m so glad I did. It felt fresh, light, full of flavour and healthy!

I also loved the Very Berry smoothie, with mixed berries, oat milk, banana, chia seeds, avocado, and agave.

Dad was delighted with his steak, eggs and potatoes. His face said it all! He even took the leftovers home because there was no way he was leaving them behind.

We shared the hash browns too, which Lucy recommended, and they were delicious, dressed in truffle oil and parmesan.

Dad, of course, had his trusty pot of tea. 🫖 One of those little things that always makes him happy.

And then came pudding… The chocolate eclair and jam doughnut were both huge, so definitely save room!

I love that The Watering Can continues to introduce new dishes while keeping all the favourites we know and love. The incredible food, beautiful setting and attentive team make it somewhere we always enjoy returning to and absolutely love.

It was also fabulous to meet the chef and tell him how much we enjoyed the food!

Thank you to Carolyn Hughes and all the team for another lovely morning. We adore you!❤️

Foodie mate date 🍛

We headed to to try the newest vendor, Butter Chicken Factory by and wow… this really hit the spot!

If you haven’t been to Boxpark yet, it’s so much more than somewhere to grab food. We went along on quiz night, but there’s snooker, shuffleboard, plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs, plus outdoor space too.

We ordered a selection to share, so we got to try lots of different dishes.

Here’s what we tried…

🍟 Dirty BC Fries
Crispy fries loaded with tender chicken poppers and creamy sauce. This was my absolute favourite! The chicken was so crispy and crunchy, and that sauce on top gave it an extra little kick.

🍗 Crispy Orange Chicken
Crispy chicken, chilli garlic sauce, peppers and spring onions with delicious Indo-Chinese flavours.

🍛 BC Fiesta Bowl
Steamed rice, butter chicken, mango and chilli salsa, pickled onions and coriander. So many lovely flavours in one bowl!

🫓 Butter Naanza
This surprised me in the best way! It looked almost like a pizza because of the flat naan base, but tasted like the most delicious fusion of naan, butter chicken, cheese and veggies. So good!

🥦 Crispy Cauliflower
This was very satisfying and perfectly crunchy.

🥗 House Slaw 👌

We washed it down with Prosecco, mocktails, gin & tonic and even a latte. I love that there’s something for everyone 🥂☕️

This food was definitely my favourite from Boxpark so far. We even had people walking past asking where we’d got it from because it looked and smelt so good.

The staff were lovely too, both at Boxpark and the Butter Chicken Factory. Friendly, helpful and professional. I also liked the little buzzer system, so you know exactly when your food is ready.

I can already see Butter Chicken Factory being a big hit, especially as the weather gets cooler. There’s nothing better than something hot, spicy and comforting on a chilly day!

A big thank you to for inviting us along, and to Boxpark and Butter Chicken Factory for treating us to such a lovely evening. We loved it - well done to all!
