H&C’s dreamy Welsh engagement adventure.

When we started planning their engagement adventure, they told me they were drawn to something whimsical and ethereal: forests, big views, beautiful light, and a feeling of being completely immersed in nature.

And that’s exactly what we built for them. Three locations, an outfit change, a wander through the woods, views stretching across the hills, and the most dreamy golden light.

One of the things I love most about adventures is that they don’t need to fit into a box. We can take our time, follow the light, move between places, and create something that feels completely personal to YOU.

A beautiful evening with two incredibly lovely humans who were fully up for the adventure.

Wishing these two all the very best for their wedding celebrations in the US next year - if their wedding day feels anything like this evening did, it’s going to be pretty special ✨

A&K’s wedding day started with a message whilst they were driving over to meet me: “Got married, we’re now on our way”✨

No big plans and no strict timeline, just the two of them heading into Bannau Bryncheiniog together to spend the day doing the things they actually love.

We wandered along one of their favourite walks, stopping whenever something caught their eye (A works for the RSPB, so there was a lot of noticing the little things). And when we reached the lake - somehow with nobody else around - they pulled out their wedding cake: the tiniest homemade carrot cake, still in its baking tin, alongside a flask of delicious chai tea.

After a little wander, we found a quiet spot overlooking the water where they sat together and wrote their vows before reading them to each other with the lake stretched out below them. It was unbelievably beautiful & really simple, breathtaking at the same time.

Our final stop was by their favourite rocks, where they exchanged rings before brewing coffee lakeside and then we slowly started to make our way back. We’d hoped for one of those huge glowing sunsets on the walk back to the car, but it felt just as magical without one.

Such a lovely, simple wedding day with all the importance placed on how it felt and I really hope it was everything they dreamt of. And maybe even a little more ✨

Something private & immersive, a quiet symbolic ceremony (with a trip to the local registry office in the morning to make it legal), nothing written in stone but guided by feelings on the day so everything could unfold in a way that felt really easy & right to them in the moment.

A beautiful symbolic ceremony led by Alex from filled with ancient rituals & meaning, a piece of S’s saree alongside a piece of crochet made by J as their handfasting cord and the Seven Steps woven in as a nod to S’s Hindu heritage.

We feasted on fresh, crunchy salads, wraps, chai tea & champagne and there was also a home-baked brownie that somehow made its way into my bag…..and was very much appreciated the next morning after a walk up a mountain :)

A brown diamond, an empty beach as the sun was dropping and barefoot steps in the sand, the sea in front of them.

A truly beautiful wedding day that couldn’t have been more ‘them’ followed by celebrations with their families for a few days after - such an honour & joy to witness + photograph a day we planned just for them ✨
