Why I Created BARA
I always thought I’d be a doctor. 🩺
Science was all I knew — GCSEs, A Levels, Uni —
Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Science, Data Science & AI.
But at 14, I broke my ankle and had months away from school.
When I came back, my school had just introduced Art & Photography.
I added it on a whim… and something clicked. 📸
That spark never left ✨
At 19, I bought my first camera and joined my Church Media Team.
What started as serving became my training ground —
where I learned cameras, design, editing, and storytelling.
After 10 years of growing and learning,
I became Head of Media at my branch —
and that journey inspired me to start something new.
✨ BARA was created to teach, inspire,
and help others nurture their creative spark —
using what they already have.
