WING FEST 2026 — PART TWO

With Wing Fest popping off in Bristol this weekend, it was only right I ran it back to London for Part 2.

This time I got through some of the most creative wings of the day, and when you're judging at Wing Fest, playing it safe isn't going to cut it.

The Part 2 line-up:
seoul — Nutty By Nature & Buldak Buffanero. Two completely different flavour profiles and both delivered.

— 1AM Doner Kebab. Doner meat on a chicken wing is a mad concept, but somehow it makes sense.
catering / Kalthan — Butter Me Up. Butter chicken sauce, raita and crispy onions on a charcoal-grilled wing. You know I was here for this one.

— Bringing those Latin flavours with La Guaira and Buffanero. Sweet, citrus, spice and plenty of heat.

— The Guv'nor. Turning fish and chips into a chicken wing shouldn't work this well. One of the most creative wings I came across.

— Peach & Chong and Crack Wings. Smoked peach, honey jerk, crispy plantain, Trinidadian hot pepper sauce... these guys weren't messing about.
uk — Finishing with Sri Lankan and Ghanaian heritage through their Arumai and Chale Wings. Loved seeing culture represented through the flavours.

Wing Fest London was a proper vibe from start to finish. Big up for keeping the energy going and a massive thank you to for collaborating with us and getting The Creators Table crew involved.

Part 1 and Part 2 done. Now the question is... who would you have given your vote to?

We brought The Creators Table to at Greenford Quays and what a night it was!

Big shout out to Zubair for looking after us and kicking things off with something completely off menu. A proper Tear & Share featuring one of the biggest smash patties I’ve seen. Not even round either, this thing was RECTANGULAR and made for the whole table to get stuck into.

Of course, there’s plenty on the actual menu worth coming down for too. Their Original Smash keeps things classic, while the Black Truffle Smash takes it up a level if you fancy something a little more indulgent.

They’re also known for dropping limited specials every so often. When we visited, it was the Tokyo Slide 🇯🇵 and right now you’ll find the Pastrami Smash Burger on the menu, so treat yourself while it’s there!

And we need to talk about those loaded fries. Proper generous portions, crispy fries, loads of texture and plenty of different flavours to choose from. We tried the Korean BBQ Loaded Fries and my personal favourite, the Hot Honey Loaded Fries!

Save some room for dessert too because they’ve got hoptions (no typo). Their milk cakes are from a local baker. A nice way to end a solid meal!

📍 Smash n’ Slide, Greenford Quays
🅿️ 2 hours free parking available
🌙 Heading down in the evening? There’s also off road parking nearby if you’re planning on staying a little longer.

What really made this special was having so many different creators come together, each creating their own unique content and sharing the same experience through their own lens. One table, one evening, but so many different stories 🙌🏽

Make sure you check out the creators who joined us and show their videos some love!

FUIYOH! Uncle Roger has officially entered the London restaurant game!

We took community to Kawan by Uncle Roger, the first London restaurant from Malaysian comedian better known to millions online as Uncle Roger.

Located in the heart of London’s Chinatown, opened in May 2026, bringing Uncle Roger’s world to life — from the famous orange polo and his love of MSG to “Haiyaa”, “Fuiyoh” and, of course, his nieces and nephews.

For this Creators Table, I ate specifically from the halal menu, and we were treated to quite the spread:

• Village Fried Rice
• Dry Curry Wagyu
• Chinese Chicken Wellington
• Teh Tarik
• Yuzu Lemonade
• Sizzling Milo Dumpling
• Sweet Yam Foam — Uncle Roger’s favourite

The Village Fried Rice had some serious expectations attached to it and it delivered, while the Wagyu and Chinese Chicken Wellington was definitely one of the standout dishes of the evening.

Big love to the Kawan team for hosting The Creators Table and looking after everyone.

At The Creator's Table, it's not just about the food; it's about the people behind it.

For our latest sit-down, we had the pleasure of speaking with Surjan Singh a hospitality veteran with over 33 years of experience, former MasterChef India judge, international executive chef and the culinary mind behind The Great Indian.

As part of our ongoing interview series, we sit down with restaurant owners, chefs and hospitality leaders to go beyond the menu and uncover the stories, experiences and philosophies that have shaped their journey.

In this conversation, Chef Jolly shares insights into his upbringing, his incredible career, how he curates menus, the rise of regional Indian cuisine, the role of sustainability in modern hospitality and why food should always create a connection with people.

These are the conversations that don't always make it onto the plate but are often the most inspiring.

A special evening at Biryani Kebab Chai, where we visited as part of community.
restaurant brings the flavours of Lucknow’s Awadhi cuisine to London, focusing on traditional dishes like slow cooked biryanis, delicate kebabs and aromatic chai.

From the moment the starters arrived, you could tell there was something special about this place. The Papri Chaat, Galouti Kebabs, Seekh Kebabs, Malai Tikka and Tandoori Boti were all incredibly tender, full of flavour and honestly some of the most impressive starters I’ve had in a while.

Usually, when you visit a restaurant, the starters or appetisers can often be the highlight of the meal but what impressed me here was that the same level of quality continued into the mains too.

The Murgh Makhni was rich, comforting and packed with flavour, but the dish that genuinely surprised me was the Lasooni Corn Palak. I’ve never had sweetcorn in a curry before and as someone who doesn’t really like corn, I wasn’t expecting much. But the flavours worked so well together and it ended up being one of the dishes I enjoyed the most.

To finish off the mains, the Awadhi Biryani was exactly what you’d hope for. Beautifully aromatic, full of fragrant spices and with that comforting depth that makes a great biryani stand out. Alongside the Garlic Naan, Romali Roti, Raita, fresh salads and chutneys, everything came together perfectly. Washed it down with a. Delightful mango lasi that was fresh, flavoursome and moorish.

The desserts and Karak Chai were the perfect way to finish the evening. The Gulab Jamun and Gajar Halwa were comforting and satisfying, while the chai was the ideal final touch.

Overall, an exceptional experience. Great food, amazing hospitality, a beautiful atmosphere and a place that brings people together through the love of food.
