10 million people watched my reels.

For years, I thought the hardest part was getting people to see my content.

Turns out, that was only half the job

When your videos start reaching strangers instead of the same loyal followers, they don’t arrive with context

They don’t know your story, haven’t read your website or binged your content

They decide in seconds whether they understand what you do, who you help and whether they want to stick around

My reels exposed the part of my brand I’d been avoiding.

the strangest part of growing from 200 followers to 80K wasn’t the reel that reached 4 million views

it was realising that my body had to catch up with the future I kept asking for

for years, imagining 10K followers gave me a knot in my stomach

my mind would immediately tell me it could happen for other people, but not for me

then during a pendulation practice, something shifted

for the first time, growth felt warm, light and possible

one week later, I went from 200 followers to 3K

then I gave trial reels a proper go and had reels reach 4M views

the strategy helped me grow

turns out most people need the front door first 😂

that’s what trial reels changed for me

instead of building a whole content strategy out of panic nuance and a canva folder called “final final maybe” you test the tiny sentence first

the sentence people recognise
the problem they actually feel
the hook that makes them stop and think “wait that’s me”

the smallest wording change can decide whether a reel gets skipped or saved

i used to think a strong idea was enough

then i started testing the same idea from different angles and realised the entrance point changes everything

one version sounds clever and gets ignored

another version feels oddly specific and suddenly people are sharing it sending it to friends and saying omg this is me

that is what trial reels helped me understand

and after analysing so many hooks from trial reels students the patterns became even clearer

you need a faster way to test the first sentence the angle and the feeling behind it before you spend hours making it polished

this is the method that helped us collectively grow by over 120K followers

and if you keep writing captions you wish you were brave enough to say out loud this is your next step

(how to create voiceovers in the laziest way)
take the reel that already has something in it

a strong first line

a caption people saved

a thought you keep repeating in your head

a tiny story you know your audience needs to hear

then use your caption as the script

because most of the time the voiceover is already there

it is just hiding inside the thing you already wrote

start with the line that makes people think

wait what

then tell the tiny story

then give the tiny realisation

then stop before you start explaining your entire life philosophy and lose all of us

make your voice louder than the music

keep the b-roll simple

record it once messy, sing before recording it

record it again with more breath

and post while the wobble is still there

because voiceovers are such a good bridge

you are practising being heard

before asking your body to handle being fully watched

sometimes the next step is smaller than your ego wants

and safer than your fear expects

I used to treat captions like the boring bit

the reel got all my attention

the hook
the footage
the timing
the music

and then I would quickly write something underneath because obviously the caption needed to exist

but the more my reels started moving the more I realised the caption was doing a completely different job

the reel made people stop

the caption helped them understand why they should stay

this is why I care so much about captions now - they are not there to repeat the reel

they are there to make people feel the point

understand your world

and move a little closer
