【🎓 A meaningful graduation session in the heart of London 】
This graduation shoot was a little different from the usual ceremony photos.
Originally, my client graduated at the Barbican Centre, London, but she chose to celebrate this special milestone with her family, relatives, schoolmates, and friends at the beautiful St Paul’s Cathedral instead. I truly loved this idea, because graduation is not only about receiving a certificate, but also about sharing the achievement with the people who have supported you along the way. ❤️
The shoot took place during the third heat wave in the UK this year. The temperature reached 35°C, and it felt close to 40°C under the sun. We were all searching for shade, and thankfully we found a lovely shaded area beside St Paul’s Cathedral which became our little base camp throughout the session.
It turned out to be the perfect spot, especially because we had a very distinguished senior family member with us — my client’s grandmother. Keeping everyone comfortable and making sure the elderly family members could enjoy the day was just as important as capturing beautiful photographs.
Despite the extreme heat, the session was filled with smiles, laughter, hugs, and many precious family moments. These are the photographs that will become memories for generations, and I’m grateful to have been trusted to document such a meaningful day.
