Brazilian Caipirinha with a passion fruit twist. I know, I know... that's not any piece of breaking news, but for me, it feels like that in a way.

Firstly, I usually go with classics, and according to my old assumptions, Caipirinha is all about lime, sugar, cachaça and ice mixed together. But, once I was photographing fruits, I decided to experiment with other flavours. It's nice to share "a-ha moments" sometimes. Luckily, I took this photo just before the second round and without shaking the camera.
Anyway, here's my recipe in case you want to make one yourself.
2 Passion Fruits
Rosemary
Lime
Gin
2 or 3 Tsp of Sugar
Ice

I have to confess. That's not the best photo I've taken, and I'm not 100% happy with this. But the dish is something else. So, instead of beauty and aesthetics, I rather share joy and flavour today.

Here's my cod stew with peppers and prawns. That's another easy one that will make you and your loved ones happy. You just need to cut two colourful peppers into rings, chop one clove of garlic and a leak (or shallot if you prefer), and make a layered bed accommodating the fish on top. Then, pour about 300ml of fish stock, coconut milk and smoked curry. Cook on low heat for approximately 25 minutes or until the pepper is soft. The prawns go in at the very end so you can keep it tender.

I used microwave jasmine rice that is a huge time saver. And that's it—maximum flavour at a minimum time. Enjoy life!

Another quick one here for those who, like me, is sticking to a more light diet during this Summer – prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and melon with cayenne pepper all over and drops of lime. It could be a snack or lunch, depending on the size of your hunger :)

Carrot Cake is one of my favourite cakes. Luckily, it's effortless to make and usually moist and soft. I thought to top it with cream or another fancy topping, but sometimes we should taste simplicity on its own. Don't you think?

Happy sweet Easter, everyone!

I was on the lookout for a sweet and tasty recipe for this Easter and I came across this one from It’s a fudgy brownie that I can guarantee will bring people smile. Here’s the recipe:
👇

𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬⁣
140g unsalted butter⁣
300g granulated sugar⁣
75g cocoa powder⁣
1/4 tsp salt⁣
2 large eggs, cold⁣
2 tsp vanilla extract⁣
60g plain flour⁣
90g chocolate chips⁣
12 Oreos, whole⁣
8 Oreos, chopped⁣

𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝⁣
1.Place the butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt into a bowl and heat for 30 seconds. Stir well, then continue heating in 30 second intervals until combined and hot to the touch.⁣

2.Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well until combined. Fold in the flour, then gently fold in the chocolate chips, trying not to melt them all.⁣

3. Pour half of the batter into a lined pan/tray. Place the whole Oreos evenly on top. Then top with the remaining batter. Place the chopped Oreos on top.⁣

4.Bake for 30 minutes at gas mark 4 or until the centre is no longer jiggly. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.⁣

Don’t forget to save for later.

didn't have a doughnut recipe, so I bought these at Krispy Kreme and took a few pictures b̶e̶f̶o̶r̶e̶ ̶w̶i̶p̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶b̶o̶x̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶d̶o̶z̶e̶n̶.̶ ̶̶ I shouldn't have said that 🤐

Anyway, driven by my massive appetite for doughnuts, I came across a copycat recipe on the blog, which is worth the try. The ingredients couldn't be simpler. Milk (300 ml)
Quick-rise yeast (7 grams)
Two large eggs Unsalted butter
(113 grams) Granulated sugar
(50g) salt
Flour ( 535 grams)
Powdered sugar(500 grams)

Here is how:
In a medium bowl, heat the milk until it is warm and add in the yeast. Beat together the yeast mixture, the eggs, butter, sugar and salt, then add flour and mix. If the dough is too wet to handle, add in a bit more flour. Cover the bowl with a large kitchen towel, and leave it in a warm place to rise for about an hour. When the dough is done rising, pour it onto a floured surface and roll it to 1/2-inch thickness. Place each doughnut on an individual piece of grease paper and let them grow in a warm place for about 45 mins or until they get puffed up.

For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar, milk and salt until smooth.

Fry the doughnuts, glaze them, and hopefully, this recipe will be a disaster; otherwise, goodbye balanced diet. 😋

Marmalade. Most oranges would be proud to be promoted to marmalade one day. The blood orange is an entirely different story. They are great, beautiful and majestic in their own right. Blood orange should be eaten raw with knees bent and whipped cream on top. All right, my marmalade is going to be made another day with Sevilla oranges instead. For now, I'm happy to be just here, staring at the beauty.

Making food offers a massive room for creativity and somehow taps all human senses like touch, smell, taste, vision and yet hearing if you consider the cooking part of it. Sometimes, however, the simplest and well-known flavour combinations are almost irreplaceable... Take Italian cuisine, for example. It works regardless of the ingredients, order or combination of them. Try this... put together burrata, rocket leaves, olive oil, green olives, cherry tomatoes and bake a flatbread to have on the side.

What’s your favourite Italian dish?
