First big sewing project in ages: a double bed size wedding quilt for a friend (finished with a while two days to spare!) Started with a general theme of hiking and music and built it from there. Mushroom backing from Bay Quilts, most everything else sourced from fabric I had lying around.

World book day Reception vs. Year 1... last year it was Zog (Julia Donaldson) this year it's Flicker (The Boy Who Grew Dragons by Andy Shepherd). More complicated this year because he insisted it has to colour change and after vetoing reversible sequins he agreed to irredescent fabric (it looks pink in the picture, but it's more orange/gold in real life). Here's hoping the dragon interest continues, because I've got the process for last minute mask sewing down.
