Political tensions are already heating up ahead of 2027. 🇳🇬
Former Sokoto governor Aminu Tambuwal has raised a serious allegation, claiming that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) may be working behind the scenes to stop Peter Obi from even appearing on the ballot in the 2027 Nigerian presidential election.
According to him, the political pressure is already building — and the battle for Nigeria’s future has begun long before the election year.
But what many people find even more surprising is something happening closer to home.
Some individuals from the Southeast, operating under the banner of the “City Boys Movement,” are being accused of working against the broader Igbo aspiration of producing a president. Critics say that instead of building unity, certain voices are trying to weaken the momentum.
At one point, a director within the movement reportedly claimed that Ndi Igbo “lack sufficient knowledge.”
That statement has sparked reactions everywhere.
Many are now asking a simple question:
Knowledge about what exactly?
Supporters of Peter Obi still insist that he was the rightful winner of the 2023 Nigerian presidential election, arguing that the process did not reflect the true will of the people. Regardless of the debates around that election, their belief remains strong.
And now, their focus is firmly on the future.
2027.
As many of his supporters often say, quoting scripture:
“Affliction shall not arise the second time.”
Whether you agree or disagree politically, one thing is clear — the road to 2027 is already shaping up to be one of the most intense political battles Nigeria has ever seen.
🇳🇬 The question now is simple:
Will the will of the people prevail in 2027?
