I thought I’d ought to do a quick introduction to this account and what it’ll be about 🌷
Hi, I’m Ella and I’m 21 years old. Back in 2019, I embarked on a photography project for my A-Level and a based it largely on the London Underground. I’ve included some of my photos here ^, and a couple of pages from my exam piece which was a book about ‘art’ that I’d found on the underground, as well as a basic history and facts about the tube lines themselves. It was incredibly basic as it had to be turned around very quickly, but I enjoyed it a lot.
I have big interest in the tube network, and trains in general (I mean, I am autistic - living up to the stereotype here!)and my photographic style has changed immensely since I was an A Level student… So I’ve hindered on it for a while, but I finally decided that I am going to do it again, I am going to do another London photographic project! This time it will be bigger and better and I think that I’m going to really enjoy it, especially with the new Elizabeth Line that opened this week!
I may share some more snippets of my A Level project, just so that you can see where I came from, but I plan to document my whole process here from the very first shoot, to potential publication of a new book!
Not sure how much space I’ve got left here, so here’s some quick-fire facts about me:
• I am no longer a photography student, I haven’t been since 2019
• I did start uni but dropped out for medical reasons, I hope to restart in September studying Medical Sciences
• I no longer have a DSLR camera, I shall be using my phone, my Canon Powershot and potentially a Polaroid camera!
• I want to include more of ‘London’ as well as the trains in this project!

• The first few images were taken with a scanner!
