Sunny afternoons with you and your bump 🧡

I’m back from a wonderful long weekend in Ibiza with friends - it was incredibly hot and sunny and it seems that the weather here has been fab too!

As much as I love it there without little ones, I’d also love to take the kids one year too. When I went when I was younger it was a real party island and although it still is in places, it also seems to have some great stuff for kids these days!

Have you been to Ibiza with kids? Would you recommend it if so?

Summer family mornings at home 🥰

It’s that time of year when everyone starts posting about their summer holidays - I love to see it and get ideas about where to go next!

We’ve just booked our next holiday - pop over to my stories to see where we’ll be heading. Not to call myself a trendsetter (😂) but no-one has sent me any tips which means me wonder if many people have been there yet…

Holding you 🧡

I may have been busy with lots of outdoor sessions recently, but I’m also still doing plenty of gorgeous, snuggly newborns.

In-home sessions are perfect for summer babies, as you can feed as much as they need and we can layer up or down easily, with everything at hand to make sure they don’t overheat or get too cold.

Hands up who else has a summer baby? My youngest is June, and I’m always jealous of how warm it is on her birthday!

Second baby magic ✨

Whilst your older children, if you have any, are definitely an integral part of my family newborn shoots, I’ll always try and get some of just you and the new baby too. It’s pretty magical to have a moment to yourself with your littlest one, especially given how non-stop it is with older kids around! And as a second child myself, I know how special it is to have one on one time with Mum and Dad, even as a baby ☺️

Are you the oldest, youngest or a middle child? I have to say I’ve always loved being the youngest 😂

Caption this expression 😂

Is it just me or are babies’ expressions the absolute best? Even though they’re still young, you can tell so much about their personalities, likes and dislikes by a raised eyebrow here or a scrunched up nose there. Joy, surprise, adoration and excitement are all in their repertoire, and I love capturing the little individual they’re becoming so you can look back when they’re older and recognise those same faces 😍

What’s the favourite expression that your little one pulls? My youngest does a fantastic furrowed brow 😂

Sleepy Fridays 😴

Is anyone else planning to sleep their way through the bank holiday? After my toddler’s potty training (and sleep!) was completely derailed by a random but nasty toe accident 😩, I’m ready for a lovely weekend with a bit of work and hopefully a lot of relaxing!

What are your plans for the bank holiday? Hopefully the weather plays ball for our outdoor sessions and street parties alike! 🎉

Party of four 💕

If you’ve missed the newborn stage for photos, my next favourite age during the 1st year has to be around the 6 month mark - and even better if there are two gorgeous babies for the price of one! But why this age?

Because your little one/s will be almost sitting but not yet crawling, they’re alert and smiley and can interact in a variety of poses, but still love being held by you. They’re napping less and aren’t eating loads of solids yet, so you aren’t having to juggle as many naps and/or mealtimes. It’s also a wonderful age for their little personalities and expressions to start to emerge, all of which I love to capture 🧡

What’s your favourite age in the first year? I also love around 9 months (except for the sleep regression 😴)!
