You spend weeks planning an event, worrying about every detail, looking after your guests, and hoping it all runs to time. And then... just like that, it’s over!

Far too many people post a quick “thanks for coming” photo and share in their stories then move on to the next thing, but those photos actually do a lot of work for you if you give them a second life.

From helping your speakers to build their profile and promote themselves to getting featured in the media to sharing with guests as a thank you, a good gallery gives you useful assets for months down the line.

How do you usually use your event photos once everything wraps up? Let me know in the comments! 👇

Planning an event takes a huge amount of effort and your photography should work just as hard for you long after the doors close. 📸

You don’t need to overthink it to get great photos - a few small adjustments to how you work with your photographer can make a massive difference to your gallery.

It’s kinda chic to be so late to a trend that you just make it a 2-for-1…

It’s kinda chic to only roll with the ones you actually like.

It’s kinda chic to post content that doesn’t rely on AI.

It’s kinda chic to promise that nothing in these photos is “whispering” to you.

And it’s definitely chic to pretend this caption wasn’t overthought.

May has been flirting with us!

It gave us a few days to bask in the sun and feel the warmth on our skin (is there a better feeling after months of grey?). And then, like an errant lover, blasted us with rain, wind, frost and hail.

May in a nutshell - all tease, none of the commitment!

I’ve been meaning to post about golden hour branding sessions for weeks now, but the weather has been spectacularly uncooperative. Managed to sneak these ones in between the weather tantrums and it’s exactly why golden hour is worth waiting for - seriously, let the light do the work for you.

If you want a golden hour shoot in the UK, you’re taking your chances but when it works….it’s worth the gamble.

If this kind of vibe is part of your brand strategy (or you’ve been putting off a shoot because British weather is... British weather), drop me a line.

Let’s make it happen while summer still lies ahead of us ☀️

I’ve definitely been there myself (more than once) - having a finished email or a post idea ready to go, and then just not sending it because the photo attached didn’t feel right.

It’s usually because the image feels a bit too stiff or dated, or maybe it just doesn’t feel like a reflection of who you are anymore. We tell ourselves it isn’t a big deal but that little bit of hesitation about how we’re showing up is a thing - you want to show up as you! A reflection of who your clients meet - whether its your warmth, your energy, your drive or simply the support you offer.

It isn’t really about having “pretty pictures” for the sake of it. It’s having a library of images that actually match the work that you do - so you can stop overthinking the visual side of things and just get back to the parts of your business you actually enjoy.

If you’ve been holding back on a post because you’re waiting for the right photo, consider this a nudge to just post it anyway. Or, if you’re ready to get some images that you actually feel proud to share, let’s have a chat.

Celebrating for her new book launch!

I’ve worked with her a few times now, and I’m always struck by how much she invests in the people around her—that kind of generosity really sets the tone for a room. She has this knack for making sure everyone in the room feels included.

A brilliant evening for a brilliant person.

Swipe through for some of my favourite moments from the night.

(Great venue choice - if you’re looking for a cinema as part of your event, you’ve just found it!!! And, off course, if you’re looking for an event photographer…..well you found that too!)

This is what it looks like before the momentum hits…

A few tiny tweaks—adjusting the way you’re leaning, finding the right positioning for your hands, and making sure the background isn’t doing more work than you are.

Most people think a brand session is about getting “good photos.” It’s not!

It’s about having images that finally match the work you’re already doing.

One shoot - that’s all it takes.
